Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 vs. Norton Internet Security 2007
A comparative analysis of the two products has shown that Internet Security 2007 is inferior to Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 Norton based on a number of parameters:
    * Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 includes a suite of technologies that accelerate and optimize scanning which are not available in Norton Internet Security 2007. These technologies include the scanning of new files only, the scanning of objects based on their content (rather than file extension), and pausing scanning during periods of increased CPU load or user activity.

*Owing to the unique technologies such as self-defense and the treatment of active infections (using the Advanced Disinfection technology), Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 in most cases correctly installs on infected computers, detecting and completely removing malicious programs from the PC. Norton Internet Security 2007 does not include any the necessary technologies making it possible to install the solution on already infected PCs where malicious programs have launched their process in RAM and use various methods to prevent the antivirus solution from removing them.

    * The personal firewall in Norton Internet Security 2007 does not include a number of important features that make it easier for the user to configure the product and to control network activity. The detection level demonstrated by the IDS component in Norton Internet Security 2007 is much lower than the detection level of Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0: as demonstrated in independent analyses, whereby Norton Internet Security 2007 failed to block the actions of most well-known exploits. Also, according to tests conducted by Firewallleaktester.com, the firewal in the Norton solution is significantly more “prone to leaks” than Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0.

The only important feature included in Norton Internet Security 2007 that is not available in Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 is parental control. However, Norton Internet Security 2007 does not provide Internet access control for different users: that is, the policy created using this feature is applied to all users.

I have used Avast professional and AVG soho edition after switching to NOD 32 antivirus, which is the best & works like a charm for me cleaning all the trojans.

AVG - My #1 Choice.....Try to buy the full version

Nod32 - Excellent..but..I would rank it 2nd to AVG in terms of finding all viruses and elimination...this comes from personal years of experience.
