    I got it from

    'ban smith'

This is getting ridiculous! That's 4 spam messages I got from 4 different users. If you're a new member and you send a pm it should require a captcha. It many not stop them from doing it but it will for sure slow them down.

As Sawz stated, you just need to PM a moderator. I have forwarded several of these including one a couple of hours ago and they were all banned. The mods can not do nothing with these kinds of threads, they need the Pm sent to them. They may start getting out infractions for these kinds of threads because the other day there were several all about the same PM spam.

There are several mods, if one is full, try another one. I never have a problem getting a mod to handle these types of spam.

It's not really worth going and looking for a mod. Until something is done about the spam itself we're just going to keep getting it. If I was a mod I would like a thread better. I have thread that everyone posts the user names in that way their all in 1 place and he can do like a bulk banning. Rather then having to check all his pm's. That's just my .02 though.

I highly doubt you'd get infraction for making a thread like this. I see PMing a mod as a temporary solution, so here is a chance for people to have their say, for example include a captcha for new members to send PMs.

I thought the same thing, but this wouldn't be a good idea. There seem to be hundreds of people who just lurk in the for sale forums. When they see a good site they will come in and usually do everything via pm's. I've sold a few sites to users with no posts and that would have never happened if they didn't meet the required post count. That's when I thought of the captcha idea.

There are few mods available not only one so you can forward your PM to any other mod also if one mod's PM box is full.

    DON.

    lol you're brave.

Something tells me this wouldn't do anything. There is a captcha for every shout you send on digg and that doesn't stop people.

Lol brave? I guess so, I always use escrow with users with 0 posts. I can usually spot a scammer too, but not always. Escrow helps me filter out the rest lol. The captcha wont stop the spam, that's not what I meant. It will however limit the spam by quite a bit. Also if they have some type of message sender program their using to send the messages then it will no longer work. Usually when spammers have to do a little bit of work to spam, I've found they just quit spamming that site. Why spam a site that requires you to work when you can spam a site that doesn't force you to do anything?

Mine came from "can smith" Looks like he's been taken care of already so I didn't forward it to a mod this time.
