And we are looking for some useful information 1) list of competitors 2) costs and profits from advertising 3) main AD brokers in this country. 4) size of market 5) payment methods 6) languages 7) price of cool and short domain names ... Cost to open an indian version of our portal is very reasonable for us. That's why are going to start his project.
India market will be far bigger and attractive compared to the Russian market, if the costs are reasonable, it is surely a go for the Indian market, in fact few if any companies would want to miss the huge and fast growing Indian market.
Frankly, I'm not so sure I agree. #2 is my biggest concern - "2) costs and profits from advertising" You aren't going to make ANY money on traditional advertising, because of the simple fact that Indian traffic is WORTHLESS to almost every advertiser (except indian-specific advertisers, who will pay significantly less). If you have a strategy to make money off this (which it seems you do not), then go for it, but otherwise I can't see you making very much money in the long run.
