    That was ages ago and their algo changed several hundreds of times since then.

    A bit more than 100 years ago people were saying that a train won't be able to have a speed greater then 30 mph.

    100 years ago people were saying there is no way that a human made machine to fly.

    Only about 50 years ago people were saying that man in space is just science fiction.

    If I would show you some old newspapers would you believe these things?

    Hi,

    This is written on Google's official website, if that was untrue, it would not have been there anymore. Besides, this has been a proven fact that "backlinks" is a main part of SEO.

    They did change their algo, I know. However, they did not removed anything, they added new stuff.

    I hope you getting my point.

    Sure I get your point Zafar and agree with it. However I'm afraid the title of the thread should have been "The importance of quality/relevant backlinks" :cool:

    yes, its that important and worth paying for. it was easy to pay for links and get ranked before but google evantually caught up. they are now coming down hard on paid links so be carefull

    All SEO are working to gain quality backlinks as backlinks tells the importance of website and SE especially google look at this one as a big factor,.
