Am I retarded, or are .cn domains at www.todaynic.com $0.14/year?? Would these work just as well as .info?

People think they get banned quicker. Never bothered with them myself.

Well, congrats on getting a multi-year lurker to finally register on DP to post. This thread has really interested me as every now and then you see these long threads with "guaranteed riches!!!" from ages ago and then as you read through it eventually you see everybody losing all their money or getting banned, etc.

Looks like this one actually has some staying power, at least for a reasonable period of time. I have a couple questions though before I take the plunge and join up (or take a spot in line).

    1. How much time would I be looking at for initial setup and to get things on autopilot for the most part? Reason I ask is that I work a job with LONG hours and between that and my girlfriend and life I realistically only have 3-4 hours per week to work on this initially. If some of this can be done via a web interface I could work from my girlfriend's computer and perhaps squeeze another hour or two into it.
    2. It sounds like the virtual server is the way to go. I unfortunately have limited tech knowledge (i'm a marketing guy by trade) and would greatly appreciate if you could point me to a specific forum thread that gives in-depth step-by-step instructions for getting EVERYTHING up and running from start to paycheck. I'll be sure to watch the video in the meantime but I just don't have the time at the moment to go crawling through the forums.
    3. I have an existing AdSense account I use for a whitehat blog of mine. Will it be an issue to use the same account and what risks are associated with using the same one? I also have this same account synched up to my AdWords account which I'm going to be using for other affiliate ventures and I am hesitant about making that kind of connection there as well between my side projects and SSEC.
    4. In reading through this whole thread, it seems subdomains are a completely viable route to go versus purchasing tons of domains. If I plan on going the subdomain route, how many domains in total would I need to purchase to get started? It sounds like i'd need one for the main "legit" site and one for the other traffic generating site which I would build subdomains off of.
    5. If it is possible to get away with just purchasing just one or two domains and using subdomains, what are the risks of doing so? Am I risking all of my subdomains disappearing at once when the main domain gets delisted? Want to make sure I'm not unnecessarily putting all my eggs in one basket.
    6. While I honestly don't care about this being considered "grey hat" or "black hat" per se, I do have some reservations about providing you with my credit card info. Nothing personal as you seem quite friendly, but I do like to be extra cautious with these sorts of things. Can you recommend a method that easily allows me to make my payment in a more secure manner than providing my CC info to you? Again, not accusing you of anything, just being a bit overly cautious.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer these questions. While I know there is no silver bullet in this game, I am feeling pretty positive about this from what I've read that it would be potentially feasible for me to make enough to quit my day job in a couple months if all goes well and do this while I work on other side projects.

If you'd like to respond via PM feel free, otherwise look forward to seeing your answers here.

    1) All of this is done through a web interface. It's all a web based application. You can start off on the hosted server while you get the hang of things. Our most recent release makes for far better content and a better overall experience for our hosted users. You should be prepared to purchase some domains to get started though. I would begin with at least 50, or build sub domains on some existing aged domains.

    2) We have an entire forum in the members are for server questions and help. The forums are VERY active, and one of the best resources you can use. Our top earners are all active members of the forums.

    3) I have personally used a single adwords and adsense account with ssec since we started 4 or so years ago. Early last year I actually got a refrigerator from google for sending over a million leads through adwords, so i'm a pretty big user, and I haven't had any issues. You don't want to put adsense ads directly on the generated pages. Instead you want to use the software to redirect traffic at your white hat adsense or affiliate sites. This takes the risk of losing your accounts out of the equation almost completely. Not to say google won't change their mind at some point in the future, but this is what i've been doing successfully for several years now.

    4) I would suggest using a couple dozen aged sub domain if you plan on going the sub domain route. This way you can drip feed new sub domains onto the tld's and minimize any red flags that may be raised by mass building. Sub domains are a hot topic in the forums on our site, so there is plenty of info. I 100 percent build sub domains exclusively these days for my personal sites.

    5) Never put your eggs in one basket like that. I receive the bulk of my traffic from msn and yahoo on my oldest domains, but google is still a large portion of that. Placing everything on a single domain just means you risk losing it all in one go.l I would never do that, and I would never suggest one of my customers do that either.

6)Sure, we're a registered S Corporation and have been in business going on two years selling our software. You may make payment via credit card or via paypal if you so desire. We have had several hundred payments from both methods, and don't prefer one over the other.

Let me know if you have any other questions before making your decision. This isn't a fit for everyone, and i'm never going to pressure anyone into joining us. Those that do stick to it and work with the software toward long term goals are almost always successful. Just this morning someone started a "December" earnings thread in our forum, and one user reported making a $10,000.00 profit. That makes me as a developer feel great knowing I can stand behind what I sell knowing people are making a good living off of what we provide. We're not a fly by night corporation. My self and our other two developers stand behind our products :)

Wow, talk about fast response! Shouldnt you be getting ready for a New Year's Eve party or something? Hmm, maybe I should be asking myself the same question.

Anyway, as my resolution for this year I've decided to take the plunge and sign-up. If it doesn't work, Im out a couple hundred bucks which I can handle. If it does work, I can hopefully quit my day job sometime soon.

If you're an S-Corp, I guess I can go ahead and use credit card. I have more worries about using PayPal for something anyway...talk about a shady company.

I've gone ahead and registered. Please add me to the member forums as soon as you can since I have a couple hours tonight still to start reading up and getting started.

Have a Happy New Year! :D

Well, I'm in and reading/watching all I can. I've reached out to Steel for some setup. I'll be sure to let people know how things go here.

So far, I have to say as someone with zero server setup/management experience, the initial setup learning curve seems pretty steep. I'm shelling out another $80 to get the technical side taken care of smoothly.

It seems as though a lot of newbies like myself end up wasting a couple days trying to figure out how to get things running correctly and learn the process. As of yet (about an hour or so) I haven't found a simple step-by-step guide to get up and running from start to finish. It looks like there is a guy selling an unofficial guide ebook but I'm hoping there's a more organized list somewhere. Unless I'm mistaken, the tutorial videos are not in a step-by-step order. It seems like I need to have some initial things setup with domains before I get into server setup etc. but the server vid seems to be listed before the domain vid so its a bit confusing as to what the prep steps are.

    Just some initial impressions.

Anyway, i'm out for the night. Have a safe night of binge drinking everybody.

1EightT: I am interested in your software but I just read your privacy policy and its not really clear.

If I install the software on my own server then obviously it has to communicate with your server so that you can disable licenses. What information does your software collect from the users? Does it send you information about our keywords and niches? Does it allow you any type of remote access to our vps? Sorry I have to ask but I have seen people do this type of thing before.

Your server doesn't send any information to us, it simply connects and checks to make sure you have an active license. If you do it allows you to login, if you do not it disables your login.

Hello everyone, I haven't been back here in a couple weeks so I hope I didn't miss any questions. If I did please pm me and I will get to you right away. We haven't had any spots open in a while, but we have a couple now and a couple more in the next week or so. This is a good time to pm me for more info or to ask any questions. We are getting ready to release another software update in the next week to 10 days, so we are excited about that as well. This update has some MAJOR changes, and it's going to revolutionize the way the program works. It's all user feedback and development work on our part that has come together over the last year and a half. I'll keep everyone posted. In the mean time pm me for more info.

keep the questions coming. We're closing in on the new release likely this week. I've also posted a new guide for users in the members forum detailing how I use sub domains instead of regular domains to keep costs down and increase ROI. This is a great method for new users with limited spending budgets to get started :)

I would like to know this as well. Seems like people could save a great deal if they went with these instead of .infos.

Also, just for clarification: If I use subdomains and the main domain gets banned, do I lose all subdomains underneath it? Like, if I buy cjsales.info and create 50 subdomains (sales.cjsales.info, shopping.cjsales.info, etc), then if one gets banned, do they all get banned? I'm pretty newbish when it comes to this stuff, so sorry if it doesn't make any sense.

I just got done reading this thread, and am really eager to give it a try. Are there any slots open?
