PR4 on some pages but PR0 on home page?

I'm hoping someone can help me with this...

My site is about 4 months old has more than 1,000 backlinks to the home page, but the home page has a PR0. My other pages have a PR4 with no direct backlinks. I would think my home page would have the high PR, not my internal pages. Anyone have any idea why/how this could happen?

    Thanks!
    T.J.

Site is still new and google is ranking it. Make sure inner pages link back to main page. If main page does not have good content that could also be problem.

It means that the homepage doesnt have as many links to it as the sub page ;)

I have sites like this, infact I have one with a home pr of 4 and subpages of pr6!

    Strange but it works

So....I analysed your website .I think you have to place a link on your site footer. The link must point to your main page. You do not have quality links pointing to your main page. That's why you dont have page rank. But if you want faster and better ranking you have to place link to your main page. Then you will get better ranking from your users blogs. And I am not shure but I thing you have some restrictions on your main page, because some of the tools for pr checking does not find your website.

Other pages has pr,because there are quality backlinks pointing to them.
Over 500 from your backlinks use NOFOLLOW.

I too are adding links within my website to my home page hoping that this will help it.

    Good Luck

Check your canonicalization. Make sure that "site.com" automatically 301's over to "www.site.com" (or vice-versa, if you wish). That may be the problem, but it doesn't seem likely here.

No. Don't make stuff up. Content has zero to do with PageRank -- links are all that matter. Content certainly has a lot to do with how well you rank for a given term, and it also affects how many links might come in. However, in and of itself, content has absolutely no effect on PageRank.
