Are Video sites legal?

Was thinking of starting a video site but saw post recently that using of Youtube videos on blogs etc are now disallowed.
Can someone clarify what that means.
Does that mean sites (eg. http://keepvid.com/ http://www.topyoutubevideos.com/) that load Youtube videos on their sites are illegal also? If these sites are illegal, why are they still being built and sold all over forums?

^I think it's illegal. Most sites that I encounter nowadays have broken youtube links.

I'm sure that you are allowed to share videos that are on Youtube. The question is more as to whether the video being shared on YouTube itself is legal! But as a webmaster, that is not your issue as much as the person who uploaded the video to YouTube. Hope I've helped!

Hmmm.... it looks like it is OK to share videos now as Youtube even shows us how to embed/ add videos to your site.

So legally, we are just sharing a video from Youtube which may or may not be illegal.... So it follows that the lifespan of a sharing video site depends on lifespan of Youtube
