Yeah... Maybe they'll believe in it when all the continents are submerged in water and we're all plucking harps (or eating hellfire).
Global warming is just a long procedure cycle that happens once in a thousands of years just like what happened to the Ice Age. The effects of such phenomenon is a slow process and could possible occur within a couple of centuries or maybe even decades?
According to Wikipedia. The hottest naturally occurring temperature on Earth was recorded on 13th September 1922, in El Azizia The temperature reached 58C (136F) This is record of global average temperatures compiled by the Climatic Research Unit.. It doesn't take a scientist to realise that its getting hotter.
uglyboy, good point and info there. To add to that, yes the highest apex / highest temp would be during certain year but if you look at the overal trend, everyone can see it is getting hotter... so the scientists are also right "hottest was in xxxx year"
there is something real going on.. temperatures and seasons and the weather is changing but probably it's being politically abused because it fits in someones agenda good news is that at least it woke people up, people just can't pollute/consume and think it has no influence at all on the earth
For what cause would this political sabotage be taking place? I've heard folks make this claim but I can't figure out why a bunch of scientists whose entire life is spent trying to find out truths about how the world works would all fabricate something such as global warming. It just doesn't make any sense. The anti-science attitude that a lot of folks have (it seems especially here in America) is really alarming to me. You know, it's scientific thought that brought us the world we have today (the internet etc) ... I can understand not being diggity down with science in the year 1420, but in 2008? It just seems ridiculous to me. Scientists know lots of stuff that you don't know (that's a statement that goes to everyone, including myself of course.) It's stupid for folks who are clueless about a subject (such as climate change) to assume they know more about that subject than people who spend their entire life studying it. Also, I do not believe that real scientists have anything to do with politics.
No. It's not. It actually makes sense in scientific point of view. Just imagine the weather that we are experiencing today is much hotter compared to 10 years ago. I think you can easily make out that one. I'm living in tropical countries with warm and humid climate so the difference is easily noticeable.
We are coming out of the little age age and at the same time we have man-made global warming due to deforestation, burning fossil fuels and cattle ranching. So it's a double whammy of both man-made and natural causes.
the global warming is a reality and the pollution is a cause of it. I's also important to be moderate in jumping any conclusion...
