How do you sort your listings ?

The only way alphabetical listings can be abused is if the editor allows.

 

Then what is the best way ?

 

Depends on your goals and intended audience. Each method has positive points depending on what you're trying to achieve. What I feel may be best might not be the first choice for another directory owner.
