In regards to Google only: 1. Let's say you have 2 identical websites with the same keywords, title, etc. and call one website.com & the other website.org Will the be ranked very close to each other or will .com automatically be much higher then the other? 2. Same example as above except you now have for example inblu-ray.com & inbluray.com, with inblu-ray being the actual correct spelling which has a dash. Which will be ranked higher?
I don't think there's any effect of ranking between .com or org if you talking about .co.uk and .com and both sites will promote in uk then .co.uk will get the ranking early compare to .com site. But fact is we have to do good work on website if our strategy is good then we'll get ranking. Note: Only URL is not the key to get ranking you have to work hard and don't do spamming, and try to do something unique compare to your competitors. thats it.
We can assume that .org is more trusted domain that .com one. Hum, beyond that not much more difference. That is correct if you buy area specific domain like .co.uk or .com.au that would be prefer in local search engines. Thanks, Bloomtools.
Both .coms and .orgs can rank just as well as the other. The only difference would be that usually a .org is considered to be a nonprofit organization. Both of your second example sites should rank just a good as the other also. One url isn't going to have better weight than the other.
As I think there is no priority while page ranking, that site having .org or .com is ranked first, if both have same PR, I think its totally depend on your Title, content, keyword, of your website. That how much content is related with your keywords and so more...
Not sure if which will rank higher because they still compete with the quality of backlinks for each site.
