Either my eyes are deceiving me, or Paypal just happens to have a 0 PR!!!! Were they penalized by Google?
I don't think anyone checks Paypals PR as it dosen't really matter to paypal. Im sure PR is the last thing on there mind
It's just one of those things that many would find IMPOSSIBLE. How can billion dollar company like Paypal that's been around for years and has a million backlinks have that low of a PR? They actually have lower than a 0 PR because they're not even ranked!!!!
I see they are not penalized in Google as they still rank for their own domain. Probably this is Google's way to pull down the competition since they have google checkout
WHO CARES. Pagerank is an arbitrary number that means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO AN OPERATING BUSINESS. Paypal provides a service, they do not care how many backlinks they have. They are a billion dollar company.
I thinks both have different way of working. PR is just a number for a good working site while paypal provide service to this site and making dollars.. so what's up???

I agree. I don't think Paypal really cares about their Serps, Pagerank, or any of that other junk. Most people already know about Paypal and probably didn't learn about them from the search engines anyway.
