Adsense optimized WP blog showing irrelevant ads...

I bought a domain and hosting and set up a WP blog there with a ProSense Adsense optimized theme. I also bought a SE optimized 1000 word unique article about home equity loans. But somehow the ads are not related to my content at all, even though it's highly SE optimized. I get ads about blogging and free wordpress themes and I don't want that. I wan't ads about home equity loans, mortgage loans etc.

    Here's the site: http://myloanplaza.com

Is there anything I can do to improve the ads relevancy?

Yea it can depend some on your tags, page and post titles and descriptions, key words, etc.

It is not just the page or post content that determines the ads.. There are other more dominating factors.

I could probably consult you or work your blog for a little better on page SEO and/or keyword targeting for better more relevant ads..

Let me know, my rates are reasonable.

well, your link ads on top all show Loan Ads, so it's good,
and the vertical ad, showing 3 Loan Ads out of 5...

you can't say that it's totally unrelated, but your sidebar on the right seems to be affecting the ads a bit.

like, for my case, when my only page was "Home", it didn't stop giving me all these Love making related ads... having more contents will find your way hopefully =)

oh, a suggestion, you shouldn't show the entire article on the index page, so that you can persuade your readers to click for extended view, which will lead to a higher chance of clicks.
(too bad i can't even gather visitors for mine <_<)

How old is your blog? Let adsense spider it well...

    Also try using adsense-target plugin.

I set it up yesterday, so it's something like 17 hours or so...
I need to test out that adsense-target pluging, thanks for a hint!

Here is one of my favorite plugins for helping give a page and content some more weight. A wonderful plugin if used well. If you are not already?

hmmm... I've now tried section targeting to make the Adsense bot ignore some parts of my content like sidebar.php, footer.php and some parts of header.php, but still most of my ads are about blogging and rss...

When I had this content in free blogger blog, it showed only relevant ads so I think wordpress is just no good platform for Adsense... :(

I can see relevant ads on your site.

It has nothing to do with the platfor you are using, the AdSense code is always the same.

    Never give up!

i am just trying to learn the basics of webdesign and stuff. I have run a wordpress site before and had no problem getting the ads and whatnot to show. I am just putting together the overall setup with a new prosense theme and none of my ads or anything are showing.... anyone have any idea why not?

I have searched everything I could think of about this and nothing has worked.

Okay all you have to do is look at the difference in the titles in those two pages..

Meaning when the page is loaded in the browser look up at what the words are in the top of the page, browser heading bar.. There is your answer.

You really probably do not need to have the /?=p3 as your main page.. What you really should do is optimize your on page elements. Maybe change the title tag how you want it.. That very plugin I showed ya can help in this very thing.. LOL

Also, I would implement permalinks if it were my blog.. Meaning the /?=p3 would be changed to read "name-of-post-title" in the URL address.
