Hi, Last i transferred $400 through xoom to india. But the transaction got cancelled. Then i contacted xoom customer service and they said they do not support transaction between intra India. Is there any alternate service through which i can send money.
Well, you must have chosen the Pick-Up as disbursement. Xoom won't allow any domestic transactions if it's a Pick-up method. You should be able to make direct deposit to your bank account via Xoom. Try it if you have a bank account.
From what I understand, you can do a Xoom transfer from a US credit card or through Paypal and if you are doing it through paypal, why not just use the Paypal withdrawal options to your bank account, it is safe, fast and typically free.
You can also transfer funds from your indian paypal account to your indian bank account. Procedure takes only 3-4 days. BTW if you go with pick-up option in xoom for india to india then they not allowed this (only check delivery or bank deposit allowed for india to india transfer). DON.
select Bank Deposit and you will get the money into your bank after 3 days.... xoom is really great service i have ever found.... because it deposit the money in my bank faster then paypal...

for me paypal take 7 days to deposit the money inside my bank account.... but when i use Xoom, i get the money in 3 days... so yes Xoom is really FASTER then PAYPAL... the only thing is that Xoom accept only Verified paypal users to avoid frauds... so unverified users cannot use xoom...
well maybe it send the money to US bank faster then indian bank... but in india it take 5 to 7 days and for me it always take 7 days.... so i use Xoom for this... and i am really happy with xoom...
