I am not sure if you are going to get much help here, but your best bet is to ask this in the phpbb forum

    Setup a database in cpanel.

    Goto your link (yoursite.com/phpbb2)

fill in the details for your site.

It will ask you to download your config file, download it and put it in the phpbb2 folder

delete the install and the other folder it asks (i havent installed it in a while so i forgot)

sorry this explanation sucks, but im trying to help and i have to go for a few minutes

Download files. Upload files. Run the install file. You have to have a mysql database set up (like with vB). It's that simple.

You download the .zip from the website, unzip it (use WinRAR to do that) and then upload the files.

    Do you have Fantastico?

If so, use that and it will do everything for you, all you have to is enter a few details like admin email, user and pass.

Very easy, although I do it the 'hard' way.

Also, why not try phpBB3, the new version.

most forums are the same that you'll need a database and user made, then uploading the files via ftp, enter the DB info and install.php ;)
