you are working in your country and exporting services. Therefore, you should be taxed in your country. As for making money from adsense, that is what I'm doing Just about everyone else on this forum is too...
I know someone who does make a living off adsense, but he has a second source of income for his business that does not make as much as adsense but he has a backup plan to work off of... if he get's banned from adsense. Never trust adsense, always have a backup plan. BTW, it's a free forum host he runs. The forum him and another guy, coded the forum from scratch and continue to update the software.
This guys does: http://www.jimkarter.com/2007-12-03-november-earnings-45000.html If you consider $25K a month enough for a decent living ;-)
I'm not making a living yet, but hopefully when my site hits to that $100 per day margen then it'll be my living
Yes, I am exporting services but isn't internet still an off-shore zone? What if I lived in different country, while with my current citizenship, what if I host my sites in offshore area? Anyway the only way one can see what I earn and make me pay taxes is to check my bank accounts(which is not impossible) but I doubt someone will do it for such a small amount of money. And for the adsense payments if you receive them via WU and get cash instead of check in your account - no one knows...
Even I used to make a big part of my living using adsense but then it dried out as the time went by. Now I have many more and better options to make money online from my websites.
ya, only relying on Adsense to make a living would not be smart.. You must diversify. If you have enough traffic to make good money from Adsense, then adding something like Kontera or adbrite or whatever would be a no-brainer. My overall earnings are plenty to make a living on, but (so far) i've kept the day job mostly because it still pays me a lot of money, and i need the health-insurance for a sick family member.. My earnings are diversified between Adsense, Kontera, Premium Subscriptions, and a little affiliate sales..
I think what others have said is reiltively true. Reliy on Adsense preper to die well not die, just not smart.
but you must know that every bussines is risky you can get fired from all kind of jobs , google is just one of them,
You won't be fired from affiliate programs for sure .... But ppc and pay-per-lead yes If you have a good site you will always make money. If you have 30 000 000 pw per day you can make 100 000 a month on any ppc or even more with affiliate programs
hire a good accountant when you do start making enough. Where your servers are located plays a part. Take eBay for example. In Australia, they report a tax loss of $15 million. That's because their servers are base in Switzerland so they don't need to report their commissions to the Australian Tax Office, just their operating costs in Australia.
Agree and affiliates brings much more money, but still some visitors will never buy smth and yet click on ads. However... if they never buy from ads this could bring some very bad smartprices - no good Yes, I will. The point is that even if I ask in the tax department here /not sure if this is the term in EN/ I doubt they will know how to tax me, but I still have to declare my entire income... well I don't think so But if I start to receive some serious money I'll have to... Otherwise, at my hosting company I choose in which country my servers are located.. guess I shouldn't chose to host the sites right here, but this is easy to change... anyway thanks for the advise. Whats is "(IT) info"? Cheers
