What can you buy with a dollar in you country?

Im coming to Asia, eating cheap appeals to me dont get more fresh than a live chicken.

Are chickens allowed to roam free in India as they grow?

I live in one of the poorest country in the world. Here I can buy a liter of Pepsi with $1

 

I can buy a 1/3 pound cheese burger from Burger King! With an additional $.05 LOL

 

Basically if you live in the western world, then well known brands tend to be inlafted to the same price anyway, with cocacola being the best known brand.... they are a dollar in most countries.
It is not the cost of the drink it is the middlemans profit.
For example
10 years ago on the Sierra Leone 200 cigarettes western brand were about $10 dollars UK was $60 dollars at time
They adjust the cost to the country in order to get turnover.

Last night i had the cheapest pint of beer in years. It was only £2 = $4

So $1 = 1/4 pint here

 

1 US$ = 0.681988679 Euros

I can't even buy a single burger
I could go to the restroom at a train station though, that usually costs 50cnts

 

well over here you can get a burger meal but a small one which it pretty good...

 

1 small coke.

 

Well the prices are every increasing in Indian metros and now all that a dollar can buy me here is an hour of brodband internet (512kbps) :-(

I could probably buy a bottle of Coke or Sprite or something.

 

I forgot to include I can cut my hair 4 times too

 

Here in Washington state I can get something off of the 99 cent menu at McDonalds (shit forgot about the tax....it would cost $1.07).

 

I can buy good chocolate for that amount

 

America:

1 Double Bacon Cheeseburger

or

4 Small Bags of Chips

or

3 Candy Bars

 

Not even 1 pack of good gum.

As i am a Proud Indian So here 1 $ = 40 INR Thus I can buy 4 Blank DVDs.

 

India prices are much cheaper.
