No sound

    Hi,
    Why I dont have sound in any sound/video applications?
    Just like that today I woke up and nothing working on this PC now ...
    Everything worked yesterday....
    Any idea how to fix the sound problem?

    I have WIN XP Pro Sp2

    How is that possible? I havent touched them, I tested with 3 devices..
    Btw on one its metering the sound signal, none comming from PC :(

    Right click "My Computer" on your desktop. Hit properties -> Hardware -> Hardware manager

    Once there, have a look if you find something that has a little yellow triangle next to it. If that's the case, right click it and hit update driver (or something similar).

    Maybe your speakers or soundcard are now defective? But I would guess it's a driver problem. Have you made any changes to your pc? Installed or uninstalled something or improper shutdown of the pc?

    Everything is ok there all are without any problems (triangles,buttons) :confused:

    I think I installed jsut itunes and quick time ...
    maybe that is the problem?

    check the power supply.If that is okay,then reinstall the drivers.After that restart the computer and check if your sound is back.

    i tried in second, old windows, and not working too :(
    reinstalled the drivers for sound card

    and when i try to record some sound by sound recorder, it doesnt even bother to count the time after i click on the RED button
