I have an upcoming website called Render Daily and I will use an SMF forum system for it. It will be a daily competition/contest type of site about 3D images. I need a logo and a customized theme based on the default theme. You just need to change the parameters in here (http://www.smfhacks.com/smf-theme-generator.html) for the theme. I may choose two separate winners - one for the logo and one for the theme. If this is the case, then the prize will be distributed to those two people. $30 for the logo creator and $10 for the theme creator. I can only pay via paypal. I am open to any color scheme. For the logo, I want it to look impressive, fancy and family-friendly. I also want it to have some details that first-time viewers may miss during the first time that they view it. I do not want it to have a corporate look. The format of the logo image should be in .psd (with a .png version). The winner(s) will transfer all the rights of the images to me. I'm just wondering whether anybody has started working on this yet. So far, I've only posted this on DP but I may also post this on other similar forums if there's not enough submissions.
I'm asking for both but an artist can just enter either just for the logo or for the customized theme. As I said in my original post, the prize for the winner of the logo design is $30 while the forum theme designer gets $10.
I was going to enter this...but then I saw this above and wondered why. Is there something I should know before I enter?

My thoughts are the same as Vivko's entry. It looks very simple and it doesn't represent the word 'daily' I'm not looking for something that's clean and simple. As I said in my first post, it has to be impressive, fancy, and family-friendly.
Hahah, I was just going to question $10 for a custom theme? But then looked further and saw what was needed.
This one looks nice. It's family-friendly and a bit impressive. Can you make modify it to add a bit more 'WOW' factor? ------- Also, I just though of an idea and a suggestion to all who will enter. Since it will have daily contests, I think that adding some type of calendar or at least the days of the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday...) or their initials (M, Tu, W, Th,...) would fit the logo nicely. This is optional though so if you have a better idea/design, then go for it. Also, the first three entries so far doesn't represent the word 'daily'. Therefore, keep that word in mind when you're making the logo.
The overall design looks good but the font style and the red bar doesn't seem to fit the background image in my opinion.
Im planning to insert a calendar image in the upper portion of this logo but im still not finished designing it...but I dont know if this logo is in the right direction, thats why I submit it for preview purposes.... just let me know.. tnx!
The 'render' word looks alright but I don't like the style of the word 'daily'. It also needs to have a 3d aspect/object like the two recent entries. So you need to add some type of 3d image there unless the calendar that you'll put has a 3d style to it.
