    Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie to this forum and Internet Marketing :) (3 weeks) and I have setup a blog at http://youtoocanmakeit.com and I want to promote a product called "No Nonsense Muscle Building". The affiliate program of Vince recommended this forum for help on setting up an internet business.

My landing page will be located at www.youtoocansucceed.com/vince. My questions is what is the best way to start with Google Adwords so that I don't loose my shirt when I first start. I've seen alot of advertised products for Google Adwords but not sure which one would be best.

Any ressources, preferably free, would be greatly appreciated .

    Thanks

    Pierre

    "Any resources, preferably free"

The best free resource is Google Help Center and Learning Center

you need to know adwords inside out before you even dare to start or you will be crushed. forget your shirt, you will be lucky if you have your pants left. there are lot more to it than it just looks. google charge you based on QS and CTR. its not just placing a bid a waiting for the clicks to come in. do a lot of research before you are confortable. google search for adwords help and tutorials

What i've learned about their help center, (and I used to believe it was all you needed too), is they are not affiliate marketers. Adwords is in the pay per click provider game. Their help center is written to get users up to speed on the basics of their system. (nothing wrong with that). However, they do not care about your ROI and that is the most important part of affiliate marketing. So you can find free resources, (there's plenty), but you're going to be searching for awhile. The only downside of "free stuff" is everyone has opinions and you may be reading the opinion of someone who just plain stinks at adwords, but is only hypothesizing as to what they think may or may not work.

    Just my two cents.

Learning adwords takes alot of patience, time and money. In the end, the time is well worth it. Just test a lot of things out and get an idea of what you like.

Hey Thanks everyone for their replies. I've started by creating my account with Google, it's weird that you have to create a campaign to join. I've set my budget to $50 and looking at the affiliate program I notice a link for Google Ad and they send you a small document on how to get started. The only thing was they wanted me to ad negative words and could not find that. and I google that and it told me I had to graduate to the standard edition. Now I have to figure out how to bring my CPC to something around 10 cents because it's set at 1.05.

I will let you know how it goes.

    Thanks again

    Pierre

It would be great if you can share your knowledge and experience. Were you able to bring down your CPC ?
