It is all maths (Skill) and how you can estimate people (also Skill) and also how you can control yourself (also Skill). You can have bad card for many games in row, but if you are a good player you can recognize it and fold.

I think it's luck to get the good cards and skill as to what you do with them.

In the long run skill is going to get the most money by a mile. There is some luck involved if you call beating the odds luck. It's a numbers game with many of the outcomes decided by the odds but a large number of them are by the skill of the individual in bluffing, reading the other players and making the right decisions dictated by the odds.

On later tournament stages i often push with any cards. Even if i have 27 off i know i can take it under certain circumstances. So you don't even have to have the cards :D

Both, luck in how the cards flop and skill in terms of knowing when to hold your cards and when to fold them

One thing you shouldn't do is play poker on the net against others. I remeber reading that professionals play against novices and always win.

Theres a balance between knowing when to do certain things like when to bluff or cut your losses and then it also comes down to whether your lucky and get the cards
