Well, there isn't any. They refer to exactly the same thing yet one of them is banned for use by the media. Don't you consider that to be censorship? Why should we ban the use of some words by the media? No one forces anyone to read a certain newspaper or watch a certain TV channel. If you don't like a TV channel's language you can simply not watch it or not buy their advertisers' products. I think there shouldn't be any banned words for the media. I think they should be allowed to use whatever words they want. That's what freedom of speech is. What do you think? Is banning some words censorship? Should we do it even if it is? Should we not do it at all?
One is vulgar and offensive, the other isn't and to add. you say if someone didn't like the language, to change the channel, well if phrases like that were not banned, they would pop up on all channels randomly, i wouldn't be able to change the channel because it would be present on all channels.
that's not true. Some people would not like watching channels that use offensive language thus a market for clean language channels would exist and I'm sure there would be plenty of channels to target that market
Perhaps your right. Look at it like this. Do you want to offend someone? I'm assuming the answer is no. So why take a chance, when you dont have to. Why use an offensive word, when there are many alternatives? You want the networks or new networks, to develop new channels just to satisfy and allow the use of words that have been deemed, bad and offensive. Thats a step in the wrong direction IMO
