    Hey,

Well I just got my first dedicated server setup and oh my goodness, there is so much in WHM and I don't even know what 10% of it does lol

I upgraded from a reseller account and as my clients were increasing I thought it would be good to upgrade but seeing all this makes me very scared.

Can I know, is it as scary as it looks or does it not take too much to learn?

WHM is fairly straight-forward and easy to manage. Just be careful with what options you set or play with. If your unsure, as always, check with your provider. If there is any question in particular, let me know and i'll gladly help.

    Regards,

Are all those icons troubling you :)? Would you prefer a plain black screen with white text?

Yeah, it's not that bad at all once you get used to it. Just don't update CPanel unless you're told to by CPanel and don't play around with easyapache, although I used easyapache3 yesterday and it was a lot better, used to be anything but easy and really unstable.

I get real 24/7 support of my dedi host. They're amazing, plus if you have a CPanel license of any type you can get the CPanel staff to log in to your system and fix any probs, no one seems to know about that though :S

95% of those shiny buttons you will either never have to touch, or set once and forget about them.

So it's not that bad, you will mainly just use the stuff that was on your reseller WHM.
