Pick a keyphrase, not a very very difficult one at first, but one that one so easy you'll get rankings overnight, get a domain name, build a site, and just start doing it. Test what you read, keep in mind that a lot of the information that's out there is wrong or purposefully misleading.

 

Experimentation of some SEO stuffs aside from basic procedures in SEO...

 

Read some article about SEO and ask here in forum about what you want to know more
so you can gathered more opinion and information

There a lot of affiliate program you can join and get some stuffs there. Check out various forums around the web and find out which one interest you and join

 

I'll be honest, you are doing it for all the wrong reasons. A good SEO has an interest in SEO and not the pay packet.

I started in mid 1999 when i was trying to get my site higher on AltaVista, and it worked then before long i was doing it for friends because it was like a magic trick and i got a kick out of it.

Money has never been a motive, still isn't really but when the demand for your time is so high it's only natural the guy with more money gets more of your time and attention. However many times i've knocked back higher paying clients in favor of a site i really like the topic, or a a great new idea with potential that i want to see succeed.

Personally i would say forget reading, go buy $50 worth of info domains and experiment. Find out what projects some of the big name SEO's are working on and outrank them, throw something up to monetize your site and move on to the next and this will act as your pay packet while you learn. Don't mess with other peoples sites while you are learning.

 

Try to figure out new tactics that will help you improved on your SEO techniques.

 

I would have to agree with his statement that the best way to learn is to experiment. You will find that some people on the DP forums are misinformed or they poor advice. This is also true for many SEO blogs, which claim to provide sensible and accurate information, but are often speculating or guessing.

Your best bet is to see what works and what doesn't from first hand experience by diving right in. You will not only learn it quicker (at least that was the case for me), but you will also have these websites as an asset if they perform well.
