Well in the past few month I made a few wordpress themes, not for money, but just to increase my serps and the thing is, it really works. After one month one of my blogs is ranked second on google.com for a keyword that has 6 million results and brings a lot of traffic. You can read my full story on my blog
Wrong, Blogs do not do better, nor do normal sites out do blogs, after reading many of your replies in threads it appears your spreading mis-information. Do you even know why blogs usually out rank websites?
Have to agree with ssandecki, blogs don't do better or worst then static websites. The fact is that blogs are made so for discussion and spreading information, knowledge, tips or simply personal thoughts. This ability makes so that you have fresh content (but mainly for readers, rather than for search engines) which readers will (or will not) like and most likely will link back to your site or even the content. Linking back will increase your SERPs, the fresh content will keep the spider bots busy crawling your site regularly, so in other words in blogs is included a constant work while on static sites you build them once and update them once in awhile (if you feel the need updating).
You always get +REP when you agree with ssandecki! I didn't feel like typing out the reason why and going into it, I got a horrible headache today but still figured I'd jump on to see if I could lend a hand. That poster I was referring too has so many mis-information posts so far on DP its scary!
