I can't predict definitely :) . Economics is a social science, science as in the quantitative part can more or less be ascertained, social as in the the investors' confidence after this round of Fed cuts. What will the consumers confidence be? Will it be a tightening of belt? What will the companies feel, will they shelve their expansion plans?

IMHO economics policies need to be stable and consistent, Fed acts this time round are decisive, but to the average investors, for eg you and me, what will you think, at least for me I do not feel certain enough to buy in. What will others think? Normally a rate cut is welcomed by investors, but now if they perceived it as trying to rescue a frail economy, a Fed cut won't work its magic as it should.

For me I am on the sidelines at the moment.

Joey ask yourself if things have gotten to their worst point yet. When you hear everyone else saying the sky is falling, this is usually a buy signal. Its called a contrarian indicator and has historically made alot of money for alot of people, but you must be able to step outside of yourself and see the emotions of the mass herd of investors.

Yeap in one trading day alone, I think those day traders who bought it at the right time must be laughing their way to the bank.

Ebay is great just that acquisition of Skype seemed overpriced, Microsoft my favorite, it never disappoints.

Next 2 weeks are going to rally up down up down. Fed could come out with another cut helping again but I would say the overseas is a factor people need to pay attention to.

If I was a buyer now, I would buy some on the low side that have been hurting over the past few days (good solid compaines ex. Microsoft)

BUY microsoft tommorow at open, You can thank me later. :D

The aftermarket looks pretty good. Pre-market is going to look better, many people are going to get in on it, I would now wait a hour or two after the market opens then getting into microsoft. (The best would be to get it tommorow)

Please tell me you bought microsoft today, earnings went perfect as planned. HIGHER then what the street expected. I recommended that at 31-32 range (yesterday)

It will be up in the 35-36 in a few days :)
