I submitted my new blog to Digg yesterday and haven't gotten any diggs at all. What am I doing wrong and how does one succeed at using this site?

There is a lot of info about that here on the forums, but for starters just try to write unique and interesting content. Also, try digging individual posts instead of the whole blog.

But if I Digg individual posts, it will still have the same site URL every time because all new posts are on the main page. Won't Digg view this as spam content if I keep giving them the same URL for every new blog post I write?

Write good article and promote it. Add digg button to your blog.

What blogging platform do you use? Each post should also have its own separate page. For example you would have www. blog. com and all the posts are on there, but each post will have its own page liek www. blog.com /post. The reason for digging the post's url and not the main blog's url is so that the content doesn't change. The blog's home url's content continues to change as you post, but the post's url will still have the same post on it all the time.

it also depends on the type, quality and style of your content.

There is a free white paper on how to exploit Digg at: http://webtrafficorgasm.com

That will answer everything you need to know.

I agree with deano6410. I subscribed to http://webtrafficorgasm.com/ few weeks ago and received some very good case studies and report about digg and social bookmarking for traffic. The author is an expert in buzz marketing and will show you how to drive traffic to your website with good headlines.

Thanks for explaining to the newb what should've been obvious. Now, how do I get my posts to only show 2 paragraphs or so like on shoemoney.com so more of my posts show on the main page?
