If you decide to do a vBulletin + vbSEO package sometime soon, PM me -- I could be a potential customer of yours. Make sure your shared servers can accomodate the CPU usage that vbSEO can suck up...I've heard a few horror stories of low-end dedicated servers going down due to vbSEO's CPU usage.
People will not be forced into upgrading, unless their website generally needs it, they will get the same service as any other host. We will have VPS/Dedicated packages for power user forums, e.g. for forums like DigitalPoint who have thousands of users around the clock. Cool, well we are still thinking about it but I will let you know.
If they installed a vb forum and they got the license number... Can't they just move it to a different host?
Doesn’t work that way, each license is attached to a domain which can be changed only by the person who had originally bought from vBulletin.
No, read the quote below me... There is a control panel on vBulletin's website which stops people from doing such things.
How can you get it for free just by using for one year. If you pay $25 per month or more then it might be worth thinking about.
So if you think it is cheaper to buy a lincese then buy it. You also have to include hosting cost too. Also This is really easy for people to afford.
Sorry, it just doesn't work like that. But the cheaper plans will be $15/month, we have already decided this would be the cheapest package we would offer if we were to launch this service.
What I might do to help build a bit of a reputation is run a 2 month BETA for 10 users to test the service, and in return I will provide 2 month for the price of 1 month, and hopefully request a customer testimonial for all of you to see. Would this make the service more attractive for new customers?
Thanks I would definatly rep you again if I could, good inputs into this thread . If some others think this would attract you to join the service please tell me, this is vital data for me.
Wow, I totally forgot about this thread but I was really interested in seeing what the OP had to say about this service. Any news at all?
