    ok guys and gals.

I have noticed in the serps for a couple of sites I have been asked to have a look at by a friend that if you go to Google and type in their sites name exactly:

    eg 'sitenameis'

it bring me up their site as top result and some other below that but at the top of the browser it has a suggestion text saying

'did you mean mysitename12' or something similar!!

Why is it doing this?!! and is there a way to prevent Google from thinking the sitename may be a mistake?

    thanks

    here is my own example.

I used to search this "a1newspapers" in google, and I got the same message, that is, did u mean this and that,

but it was bz, my site was new, and I had no Backlinks,

but now, if u search for "a1newspapers", u will no longer see that message,

    u need to have backlinks,

which is most likely because they used the text "a1newspapers" to link to the website, the more websites that have the search term on the less likely it is that google will think you mean something else. Get your website name out there more! If you had quoted the website name in this post, that would have helped

When I type my sitename "sortmusic" in Google search a few years ago (site not fully developed yet), Google suggestion was "Did you mean: softmusic ?" :(:(

Now my site is an established site, and Google not display that suggestion.
And the better part is that now when I type the other sitename: softmusic the suggestion is:
"Did you mean: sortmusic ?" :):)

Google generate results by "text pattern matching" to find out correct result for this string (word) after that by checking the PR and all. So Google display the results regarding that hyperlinked word. If It is not able to find a url for written word it display the message "Did you mean this." with words that are similar in pattern with typed word.
