How to Get Vista's Glassy Look in XP

I have a vista theme for my XP but I'd like to get the see through glassy windows. From what I understand, windowsblinds is the only way to do it. That costs and I'm just not gonna pay for that.

Is there another way to do it without purchasing that or getting Vista?

I think he meant that as a joke.

anywho, I used WindowsBlind before and I must say, its a great application. Didn't use much resource and almost every program I used didn't seem to have a problem with it. Some small apps did, but you can exclude them from being skinned.

WindowsBlinds is a great program if you are wanting to change the look drastically. When I used XP I ran it all the time. I loved the holiday themes lol.

Probably just be easier to buy Windows Vista Upgrade than to buy and mess around with programs like windowblinds etc… Even if you do it the free way, it’s probably going to take time to arse around and fix the problems it creates and since time is money might as well buy Vista ;)

I never suggest windows blind. It eats lots of system resource. Better you should use vista transformation pack. Or use vista theme for XP. Google it, and you will find many :)

I know one, you can download from here:

I tried FastAero. It sucks! The windows moved all around like they were falling apart.

Doesn't Vista transformation pack need window blinds to give the glass windows?? The download is too huge for me too. I'm on dial up. that would take forever.

Use TrueTransparency. It's free. Google it up. Plus, it's a small file.
