Contests sub-forum

Hello there,

Would it be possible to make a sticky in the contests sub-forum suggesting a formal posting structure to the contest holders. In contests, it is paramount that the contest holder gets what they want to feel satisfied to hand out the prize. To do this there needs to be sufficient communication between what the contest holder is looking for, and what they are wanting the designers to create. What I am suggesting is creating a sticky post including something along the lines of:

The reasons for this suggestion is that contests right now are usually un-efficient for both the contest holders and the designers. Contest holders often do not give enough information for the designers to grasp their desires and the designers often waste alot of time designing things that are in the complete opposite direction to what is wanted. Encouraging something like this will help contests run alot more smoothly and more people should get what they want.

Good idea but the thing is what if people are running contests for something other than logos/banners/graphics?

 

I think this would make a nice sticky if you will elaborate for the other types of contests as tushardhoot1 mentioned.

off topic... ps. Have you noticed the many contests that just fizzle out and a winner is never declared?

And yes, I agree, many competitions never end or the person who runs it says he chose someone through PM while he just steals some random person's design.

 

Good point, but in all honesty about 90% of all contests are graphics work. Just name the sticky, "THINKING ABOUT HOLDING A DESIGN CONTEST? COME HERE!". You get the idea . If it isn't graphics work then I suppose they can post how they want.
