One correction Davey. I did not request changes:) I only provided feedback. Whether or not you make changes that is your call.

Anyway, back to providing more feedback. This new entry is the best I've seen. There are some small changes that I will request if your design wins such as perhaps enlarging/thickening the American rope around the oval and perhaps changing the background inside the oval to match the same blue as on the rope segment which has the stars on it. And then I would perhaps ask to have the silver letters changed to white.

But let's see first what other designs the guys come up with because sometimes the rookies or the big guns (xpressions, coolwanz, raghav, ari, etc) steal the show. There is plenty of time until Tuesday the 29th.

I agree DaveyBoy can be a tough competitor. Thanks for the design Dean but it's a little too crowded for me. It also seems a little hard to read.

Point taken re. asking for changes! ;) How about 'feedback noted and the result is thus :' :p

Thanks for comments, any changes like you mention are of course no trouble. Let's see what the others bring to the table when they wake up/come in!

@Davey I appreciate the changes very much and of course the changes improve your chances of winning. I just don't want some new guy to misread me and think I am requesting changes when in fact I am just trying to give feedback.

To any designer entering this competition: I very much appreciate your entries and I know you try hard and sometimes end up with nothing since there can only be one winner. So I think it's only right I show my appreciation by at least providing feedback.

Great design Davey. So far this is my favorite and also follows all my instructions: American looking, conveys quality and also has a corporate/professional feel. Oh yeah, and go get some well deserved rest now.

Rnhalawi: thanks for giving this a go. It certainly looks American. I just somehow feel it looks more like one of the political buttons before elections than what I am after. I also feel it looks a little amateurish so it's not going in the direction I was looking for.

phacker: thanks for the entry. It certainly looks very American and it meets my requirements. It also looks very creative. My only gripe is that it somehow doesn't look too modern. I need something more modern, more up to date. Not sure exactly how to express what I mean regarding your design.

phacker: this is much closer to what I was after. Thanks for heading my advice. It definitely looks more modern and more improved. I won't ask you to make any changes unless I feel like it's going to win. It is a design I am considering but if I was to choose it I would ask for some minor changes such as a different colour and a couple of other small things. Let's see first if anyone else decides to enter and once we get to the final stage I will let you know.

Hi, Julian. Nice seeing you here again. It took me a bit, but here is my concept. As usual, feedback is appreciated. Regards,

xpression, thanks for giving this a go. I must say I was really hoping you would enter this. Now I am a little upset because I have to give you some feedback on it. In my book you're on the big guns list (along with DaveyBoy, Ari, Coolwanz etc).
Your design is very creative but it doesn't quite follow my requirements. I needed the American Grade A Milk sentence to stand out and that's not the case with your design. I get the feeling that you tried to show me a different direction but I really need the American look (strong blue and red) to come through. Also, one other thing that I need is something a little more modern looking. Again, while your design is very creative, I need something a little more on the modern side and a little less....I can't find the exact word. Is cartoony the right word? I need something a little more modern. I hope I'm making sense.

Oh, don't be upset. It's ok. Yes, I was trying for something different. I will see if something else pops up...

If anyone's interested this contest is still open. Winner will be chosen on Tuesday. So if you have some spare time over the weekend give it a go.

So far the favorite two are DaveyBoy (post #27) and phacker. I am leaning more towards DaveyBoy since American Grade A Milk is more visible in DaveyBoy design as opposed to phacker entry where the icon seems to overpower this very important sentence.
