Im hoping to cashin on the Hot popular Presidential political campaign market by buying an already existing website. Then to apply a profitable banner revenue program, maybe with lil' advertising dollars on my part. Ive found a few sites for sale that im interesting in: Policy Watch(dot)Org Political Cute(dot)Com 08presidential Poll(dot)Com My question is how important for SEO top ranking positions, is owning other Extensions besides .Com. Like for example = .Net, .Org, .Biz Political Cute(dot)Com is the only website forsale thats offering all the related other extensions. Seems either the other sellers do not own the other Extensions of their relevant domain name. Will be screwed over by buying 1 extension without the purchase of the others? Thank you for any knowledgable advice, Michael Grant
The cheapest one of those domains is $800. IF you don't know much about SEO and whether or not you should buy all the TLDs...perhaps you shouldn't be investing that much money. Maybe start with something more affordable.
Thanks for help. Yes i understand i would only purchase 1 of the domain names. But does the Search Engines put more weight on .Com's .Net's OR .Biz's
Hey that's a good question. Help anyone? IMO, I would avoid the .BIZ if the other TLDs are available.
Hmmm i'm kinda confused then? I thought i read .BIZ is needed for Copyright reasons if your going to use the website as a business. Hopefully someone can answer this to clarify.
Only buying the .com TLD, is really bad advise! Especially if the purpose of the website is for profit! You should always think future concerns, and nowadays domain names are cheap. Would make since to alway get .com, .net, and .org for domain name branding purposes.
May be true, but must keep in mind most people goto URL's by only typing the name. Without the Prefix WWW. and without ending it with .COM And google always sends that request to the .Com 1st
