    st0x:

The difference is that Christianity is now separate from civil power. (i.e. render unto Caesar what is Caesar's...)

Islam demands both religious and governmental power, thereby rendering it almost immune to improvement and civilization.

Sharia law is the source. Do I sense another defense of one thing, while other posts are tearing down America?

Please tell me you aren't really that blind. You should read their book and some of their other books or the other one that isn't translated, etc....

It isn't like this is some sort of maybe, hidden agenda or unknown. I doubt many muslims especially islamic leaders would deny it.

NPR has being doing a 3 part series on the Status of Muslim Women in Europe.

It has been an interesting series, at least the parts I have caught. On today's program there was a young British Muslim woman who said the goal is to bring Sharia law to England. Can't be more clear than that. They want to replace British law with Islamic law. Obviously, that is just one woman's view, but don't pretend to be so obtuse as not to know that a goal of Islam is Sharia everywhere.

I am merely asking for a source. It's not an unreasonable request when the poster I am replying to makes a statement to be taken as fact.

debunked, feel free to link me to such. TIA.

Indeed. Because my first impression reading Will's post was that he is terribly incorrect on one portion.

I don't think any anthropologist or historian would argue Will's point with regards to the Ottoman Empire, that it was in some way immune to improvement or civilization.

Despite not being well versed in the Koran, and totally unfamiliar with the hadiths, I am having a hard time accepting that Islam mandates a certain form of civil government. That's contrary to what I have read and heard.

And thereby, it's news to me, and why I would like a source so I can read up on it further.

You guys could learn something from me. It's called due diligence and research. It's fine to believe something, but how and why did you come to that conclusion? Are you capable of explaining or proving it to others?

An Imam was interviewed for this story and he claimed it was not an "Islam" problem but a "teenage" problem.

The leader of any sane religion would have pointed out it was a "crazy dad" problem. As it was, this Imam essentially defended the dad since he only killed them because of his "teenager" problem.

Like due diligence in these posts, some of which you start by referring Mitt Romney as a war criminal, and dishonestly attack McCain on old material? Or blaming America first and using dishonesty to do so?

Thanks, but no. My agenda is to raise America up, not tear her down.

I suggest you take your own advice for a change.

So you don't have a source for what you claim is sharia law. Hmmm.

Guess I will have to keep waiting for someone to back up Will's statement, and the agreement to it by yourself and debunked.

Funny how you guys know something as fact, without proof. I wonder how you learned it.

Some one said something about due diligence and research. Perhaps they were not aware of the hypocrisy of their followup post?

Almost all religions start out as violent, because they need to be sensationalistic (sp?) to change mentalities. As they mature, they loose their violent side (see christianity). Islam is just younger, that's all. Religions are not judged in terms of good and bad. They're as good or bad as the people wielding them or acting on their behalf.

That's why I stay away from religions and follow my own belief system, not what some other guys tell me. If you're an educated man/woman, you should feel at least slightly bit manipulated, regardless if you're a christian, islamist, scientologist or whatnot. I don't want to spark any flames by saying this, but please, try to judge for yourselves rather than just blindly following some pupeteers' orders.

So you still don't have a source to present? Why am I not surprised?

It's been a rough day on the forums for you GTech. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

You may want to 'get educated' in the religions you mention before you state things that make you look uneducated like you just did.

Ask someone like menji1980 who is well educated in the koran and sharia law, he can show you more specifically where. Do you realize how much stuff there is in there?

It isn't like anyone denies that islam's goal is to take over the world, except those like you who seem to deny it.

Ask any 'good' muslim on this forum about the goals of islam.

Throwing that in my face is easy, the harder part is explaining where I looked uneducated. Good luck :)

P.S. Please don't start the flame thing, I'm usually not one to engage in Internet penis contests.

Edit: Actually I won't respond at all, seeing how I'm a VW fan myself :)
