Is it just me, but sales yesterday were bad! I read in other forums that sales were lagging. For example I had 3 sales yesterday all within a few minutes apart from each other and then nothing for the rest of the day. A forum thread from ewealth reports other users with the same problem: http://ewealth.com/showthread.php?p=121049#post121049 I know this happens it seems once or twice a month with clickbank... but come on... I'm getting tired of crap days. What's up with Clickbank?
Yeah it could be... hmmm Now that I think about it, it's about average for me. It could just be the time of the week. It still doesn't explain how sales were all within a couple minutes from each other... but at least there were sales at all and I didn't lose money. I guess time to work harder
i hope this forum doesnt turn out like ewealth were every second thread is about poor clickbank sales
Consider yourself fortunate that you had only 2 days of slow sales, lot of people are experiencing this for weeks now since the last clickbank update. you can check the thread "Clickbank Destroying Sales" on this same forum. Cheers
Looks like your aviator is your stats? I'm not saying I'm the best, or even good. I'm just saying it sucks the last couple days. But maybe it's just for a couple days. So far today one sale. It's not looking good at all so far. I need to hurry and make my own product so I won't have to rely on selling other people's products.
There is something definitely going on the last couple of days w/ clickbank. I have an aweber email signup form on my pages. My traffic and the aweber signups have actually gone up the last 2 days - but my Clickbank sales have dropped off by at least 60% for both days. My sales always go up and down the same amount as my aweber signups, but yesterday and today email signups and traffic went up and sales went down - and not just a little down, but way down.
Well not that it's good, but at least I'm not the only one. Thank you venrooy, I'm not going crazy and all my work and incoming traffic isn't worthless. I feel better.
I wonder why this affects some people but not others. There are people having problems right now.. But it seems for others, not so much. I wonder if there are different systems processing orders from different areas. Like one system from central US, or West, East coast. I'm central by the way. Just trying to get to the bottom of this.
Isn't it normal to see unusual patterns? I'd be amazed if anyone's sales patterns were predictable considering how many variables can change. Take Weather patterns as an example: If there is a large front of cold rainy weather, sales go up because people stay indoors. If the weather clears up and its sunny outside, sales go down. Conspiracies will always run amok in the world of sales. I've done sales in various markets outside of Clickbank, and no matter what people are selling or how they are selling it, paranoia always ensues when a period of unusually low sales occurs. Back to the Clickbank issue we are discussing. There is something called respondent bias: It's the tendency for those who relate to a problem to be more likely to reply. Hence, people with sales that are down are likely to come to this thread and say, "yeah, my sales suck too!". However, as you notice, others aren't reporting any problems. I could be wrong about this, but I think it's mostly just typical market fluctuations and random deviations that we're reading too much into. However, here are a few other possibilities. If any of you heavily cloak with snurl.com, they're redirected is only working 50% of the time, and those of you who create your own sales page and link directly to checkout are no longer going to receive credit because of internal technical changes that Clickbank has made.
Sure sales can go up or down, but when you're making 5-10 sales a day for months... and then all of a sudden no sales or almost none for a couple days... what the heck.. you would want to know if something is up as well. I have noticed though, venders are usually not affected. Read this: http://www.aspkin.com/is-clickbank-screwing-affiliates/ There is something going on, and it always has been. Sales by Clickbank are not accurate at times. And at worse only give you a fraction of what you really sale. But I'm just a pattern person. I see patterns and know them, or else I wouldn't be an affiliate marketer. And I don't go barking without similar experiences. And I've seen a ton in other forums just the last couple days. But whatever...
Has anyone even considered the economic climate is getting very shaky out there and many potential buyers are possibly holding on a little tighter to their hard-earned cash right now?
I agree on that, even with my other business sales were down. But with CLickbank I didn't have much problems. It's weird.
Totally Agree, not because ClickBank is "ClickBank" they are always right and the affiliates are wrong. Its a shame that there are so many people that blame everything and everyone that can be blamed and does not blame who is most likely to be the cause of the problem. After all Clickbank is just a bunch of people too, they can make mistakes, have done mistakes in the past and will continue making them. But the question is, why come up with every possible excuse just to cover them?...
Precisely, there's little difference between the online economy and the offline one. I took a hit today as well, but I shrug it off, because there's little anyone can do
For what its worth, my sales have halved on CB for the last 2-3 days. Only make about 7 a day so its not a big number to go with but saw this thread and thought I'd add my part.
