Can you be sucessful with Adsense without knowing HTML/web-design?

Exactly what the title says. Can an individual be successful with Adsense and affiliate marketing without know HTML or other web design languages? I recently just started learning HTML and then I'll get into the other sides of web design and building. But its a slow process.

So my questions would be, if it is possible, what is a suggested route to take? Blogging, article writing, etc? I want to get more in depth into Adsense and affiliate programs (CB, etc) which is why I decided to start learning HTML. But I want to know what I can do know while my web skills build. I have been using a WYSISYG (CoffeeCup Visual Site Designer) editor for a while, but from reading these forums for a few months now, I think I need to move past a visual editor and do my own coding. Thanks!

Yes You can be successful with Adsense without knowing HTML/Web design.

As you said, you can begin with blogs and the simplest one is blogger.com and put adsense element there.

and you can post in adsense revenue-sharing forums (like DP) and sites (like flixya.com).

So you will be more successful.

    Of course you can!
You need to be a good marketer.
You can outsource everything, what you can't outsource is original ideas and wise decisions.

With blogging are there better sites than others? Or is Blogger.com a good place with the flexability to place ads in effective positions. I do own serveral domain names, so I can try to incorporate them as well.

    Is there a list of revenue-sharing sites/forums?

Anything else outside of these two options?

I have TONS of ideas and have had several web-designers flake out on me. But I am currently in a situation where money is tight and I dont have the means to bring in outside help at the moment like I did a few months ago. Maybe in a few months I could bring one or two of these ideas to fruition. Keep'em coming! Thanks again!

Also, on the marketing side (which I'm good at in the physical business world) what are some of the best low to no cost ways of marketing a blog or other ideas that may pop up in this thread?

You can be successful without knowing a lot of technical stuff, but the thing is you never know what things you learn today will be useful tomorrow. And dont stick to just one thing, like adsense for example. Its getting worse everyday, and who knows may be in 6 month Microsoft or Amazon will come up with something that will leave Adsense in dust. Keep learning and watch things around closely because new opportunities always come up.

Oh I agree that Adsense may not always be the top dog. I guess it should have been more of a generalized question. Basically I want to get into the web world and make money in it. Just at the moment I dont have the money to outsource web design (which I'd rather learn to do it myself, but again that takes time and it will be a long process for me due to time constraints) and larger costlier marketing campaigns.

I have the ideas and marketing/business skills, just no one to pair up with and launch them :D

Why certianly, there are a lot of people making money with AdSense and affiliates who know very little, or nothing at all, about HTML and coding. As someone else has suggested all you really need to know is how to administrate a Word Press blog.

The important thing to know and understand is how to write interesting content

well this is all very reassuring to hear. I guess I need to read up some more on blogging. I've always been a very good writer and have made a decent career in sales in the normal world. I just hope that can transpose into atleast a decent blogging career :D

Do most people run a single blog, or do they tend to expand into 2, 3, or more. Basically diversifying themselves?

You can, but it's best to learn atleast a little, so if you run into a problem you dont have to pay someone to fix it for you.

Well i Guess being master in HTML is always an added advantage at any given point of time.

Blogs will not pay you too much in starting so it would be good is you can have few HTML webistes with rich content and have few hundred unique visitors on your website makjing $25 a day :)

I make $15k from 10 websites i have :) all are HTML + PHP websites

Yep of course, as long as you know how to edit stuff, not necessarily code in HTML, but be able to use the ctrl+f (find) text and edit it... and register for adsense.

If you can do that, then you're pretty good!

Find something you're good at, launch a site, and make it unique with lots of contet!

Of course! I started out with nothing but as you do more, you learn HTML and stuff on your own as it is necessary for proper placement of ads and such

without HTML etc info, u can make money but before that u will have to pay other people to do work for u, then after some time, u will be able to make money.

on the other hand, if u learn everything, then u don't have to pay anything to anyone,

I myself make websites, then I do SEO, all by myself, including article writing, submission etc
