Well shoppingads and auctionads wouldn't be in business is they weren't making some money. If you run my script instead you can do it all yourself and keep all of the commissions earned.
Not to my knowlege. They might be on the shoppingads side but I dont think they are on the auctionads side. Trouble with your script is that you are dropped down to the 50% eBay payment tier unless you have tremendous volume, where auctionads, because of the combined volume of all publishers, is in the higher tiers. 75% tier I believe.
That might be, but auctionads also takes out a chunk of your commissions and you don't have complete control over your ad unit. With my script you get 100% commissions and control all aspects of the ad unit and can monitor all of the data.
AuctionAds/ShoppingAds hit the shitter when Shoemoney sold the program...I pulled my AuctionAds of my sites as soon as I heard about the sale.
I've had them on my website, and they keep serving already-ended auctions. How does that seem like a good idea?
It was falling far behind a month or more before it was sold. People were reporting strange stats. Media Whiz was also a part of it from the beginning, so it did not get a new owner, it just lost an old one...
I was searching "shoppingads sucks" on google and i found this thread! ..though this thread is a few months old. BTW, i'm so not satisfied with shoppingads. They claimed that if it's US-traffics, it's PPC-based. If it's NON-US traffics, then it's CPA. But the thing is, 90% of my visitors are US traffics, yet all the clicks i got (shown on its report) generate $0.00. It can't be that all those clicks I got each day just clicked by my non-US visitors which didn't even make up 10% of the traffics! That's just so frustrating to me!
So people other then me are still actually using Shopping Ads? Heh, eventually I'll get around to taking them off the dozen pages I have their code on...
Well, not anymore. I'm just waiting to be approved by Direct Media Exchange, and then i'll just drop shoppingads completely. I figured it'd be better to use CPM ads like Direct Media Exchange, since u are paid by impressions. Imagine what you are losing with shoppingads, just wasted impressions. The only problem with cpm ads is probably their fill rate though. But still...
The latest news is ShoppingAds now are converting to a "closed" ad network. They are closing accounts of publishers that aren't generating enough revenues for them.
Sounds like a death spiral to me. I'm sure the company really will be a "closed" network within a year, as in "out of business".
Not now that they only have the top notch publishers... how could they fail? Gods forbid they let the weakes ones know so they could have had time to step up their game. *shrug* I'd have tried to offer a few better pages (like within my threads, rather then just as a single forum header)... but no, that wasn't an option, so oh well... they are the professionals.
I get paid, and paid well, every month. I dont know where you get the "death spiral" concern. ePN closed a number of non producing publishers also. I dont think they will be going out of business either.
well i didnt get payed either, I am a publisher with every major adnetwork and can honestly say.. shoppingads.com - suck big ones. Got the same email as every other publisher, i guess? then waited and waited... and im still waiting.... If a company sends an email saying you will be payed on or near for your services to them. And you accept it, that is im my opinion,,, a legally binding contract and a very easy case to persue for all monies owed.
