Hey...a couple questions. What are Google friendly links? I have 700+ links and Google only recognizes 31 of them. Why? Is this a link problem or a problem with my site? Last Q...where do I find a good online all browser link checker? Thanks
Google friendly links are links from sites google indexes and are related to your sites topic. They use real links not urls with no follow.
Thanks for the info. With pedal car as the main search term, there are very few related sites that aren't competitors. One site ranked just above mine shows 150 links in Google. There is NO WAY that there are that many relevant sites. I use Alexa, and that brings up another issue. Using the online link checkers I've found, I get a different result for damn near each one. Most are up around 700 links, ALexa is 76. Whats up with that?
Google only reports to you about 10% of you total links the rest can only be seen if you register with the google.com/webmasters/tools yahoo has a more accurate count and display of backlinks if you use their https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ can also use http://www.backlinkwatch.com/ for more backlinks Google friendly links as it was already mentioned means links that are from relevant sites
Go to Commenthunt.com and type your keyword in the search box. You will get a list back of blogs that don't have "nofollow" in their tags making them "Google Friendly Links"
Thanks mrhodus but those are not ONLY blogs those are generally a list of websites given by the google co-op ?
Okay....how about this? Lets say you know that the majority of your links are from sites in a certain catagory, why can't you add/change keywords to match those sites? If you did, will Google recognize the links then? Hmmm...is this s stupid question? http://www.pedalcarplus.com
You can use Googles webmaster tools to see more links! The webmaster tools and yahoo shows different links for me though, what gives?
attick, Get a Google Webmaster Tools account to analyze you link development with Google. Yahoo Site Explorer provides many more links than Google unless you have tens of thousands of them. Then you can see more with Google. Google doesn't include most of your links outside of Webmaster tools and the links they do include are random at best. I have domains that purchased Yahoo directory, Business.com, and Starting Point links that were on targeted pages and Google doesn't include them publicly. You want a natural link building campaign that includes things like your domain name or brand if you have one, as well as "varied anchor text" that include the keywords that the page was optimized for. So, get "dog training" or "dog obedience training" anchor text links for your page about dog training, and place it on pages on other domains that are topically related to dogs, training, and best of all dog training.
That's one of the oroblems. There are a very limited number relating to "pedal cars", other than competitors sites. That goes for blogs also, most are owned by competutuin. http://www.pedalcarplus.com
Wento to http://www.backlinkwatch.com/ for more backlinks and tried about 6 different domains and nothing came up. "Please wait....and while you're waiting click here for blah blah" Is this a scam? Then went to Commenthunt.com to do a search for blogs using my keywords. No pedal car, pedal plane etc. Any more suggestions will be greatly appreciated. http://www.pedalcarplus.com
Google adwords keyword tool includes bike, tricycle, collectible car, racing car, toy car, etc. as "related" so you if you are out of luck with pedal cars move in this direction. Also, do a google search using ~pedal -pedal to find other synonyms for pedal (if any). The synonym's will be in bold. ~pedal means find synonym's -pedal means don't include the word pedal in the serp. Google seobook hubfinder Use this tool to find the top dogs in your niche and who they link to. (so, where is your competition linking???) Finally, do a google search for pedal cars and click on the "Similar pages" links to see the neighborhood that Google considers related to the keyphrase. Write some articles where you can control the title & H1 on the page to agree with the anchor text on the links. Good luck!
Thanks...that's alot to chew on and some things to work on. How can you tell if a blog is one that will give you backlinks? http://www.pedalcarplus.com
Ask, but don't use automated boiler plate requests. Find what you like about their site, get an angle (write a short article or offer something to them in return). I am not really big on reciprocal links, but if the reciprocal link is on a topically relevant site and page I'd do it every time. (I keep reciprocal links down around 20% or lower when compared to total inbound links for any site)
good information. Ive been trying to understand the whole linking process but this gives me a little more insight into begining my campaign. Thanks!
Checked my site using Google Tools. It shows 38 links recognized out of 728 using Yahoo link checker. Does this seem low or average for Google? pedalcarplus.com
pedal cars, pedal planes, pedal tractors, riding toys
