    I am not sure whether this is he right place for posting this. However since a .Asia domain is pretty enw to market, I just wanted to know if buying a .Asia domain is a good idea. I just purchased computer.asia during the pre-landrush period and Ive absolutely no idea on what it means.. Please help me out. Again I am bitterly sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this qeury.

    But I suppose those are trademarks and I will be in trouble if I mess around with them.

    Wrong section, should be in the domain section: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=45

    You haven't purchased Computer.asia, you have registered an interest in it & all the others that have done it as well. So, the highest bidder will end up getting the domain from the auction.

    Personally, I wouldn't waste my money with this extention.
    .Asia = .Crap IMO

    LOL, only if you are Google or Yahoo or expect a lawsuit.

    .asia- No one can comment at this moment.

    It is a four letter extension, plus it is regional in nature.

    But Asia is growing, and as the internet penetration rates increase and more people decide to spend online, it might not be a bad idea to keep one.

    ASIA is a big market no doubt but you will find that the good ones are normally going to the big fellas leaving the crumbs for smaller players. Domain buying and selling is far too common, I don't expect any normal size web master to be able to land a good Dot Asia domains. All the good ones will go to the speculators and big companies.

    Try registering dictionary and sports terms. They are almost always worth a few hundred.

    If in the auction I am not able to register a domain name I applied for before landrush period, will Godaddy or Dotster pay my registration fee back to my credit card or will they pay it back to my Godaddy account to spend for a different order? I am talking about registration fee, not the application fee, it is non-refundable.

    There would probably be a few crazy users willing to buy anything. I would never actually buy one though, I think it's only available at GoDaddy? Not too sure.
