Anyone else had their account pulled? I have been spending about $300-500 per day for the past 14-16 days and it just got pulled. When I called them, they said it looks like I added a lot of keywords late last night and they needed to make an outbound call to me within the next 2 days to reactivate my account. I added 200 keywords to a campaign last night. After spending roughly $6000 with them in 2 weeks, why in the world would they pull an account for adding only 200 keywords? Very odd. So now I sit and wait and not make money through YSM for 2 days. It's a little frustrating.
I would suggest ?! although I'm not the expert on this, to be aggressive with them, do you want the account back? sorry to hear
Of course I want the account back. They just put a hold on my UK account as well. I spend a considerable amount of money with them and will make another phone call to them in the morning. If it lasts more than a few days, I will take all my business elsewhere. Adwords always performed better for me, but I enjoyed having less competition in YSM. I just think it's a bit unprofessional for them to pull such an account for verification AFTER I spent a lot of money. You would think after a few thousand dollars, they might call you immediately afterwards to verify identity and not just show errors as to why my ads may not be displaying. The errors I received said something to the effect that my daily budget was depleted, when it hasn't. After calling, they said they needed to make an outbound call to verify identity. The person I spoke to on the phone said when I added several keywords to my campaign, it may have triggered it. I figured spending $500 a day on a credit card might trigger it and they call me immediately. I would be ok with that. I'm not too happy with them telling me they would call me in about 48 hours. If this were a case of someone running CC fraud, you would "think" they would call sooner. I spend almost 10x as much on Adwords each day, and they have no problems taking my money. I was just planning on ramping up my volume on YSM too. Okay, done with my rant
Just an update.... My account was temporarily suspended due to one of my running offers collecting personal checking account info on non-secure pages. I was running the Kings Cash offer for NeverblueAds. Just wanted to give a heads up to all affiliates running PayDay loan type offers. Be sure to check before running the offer. That goes for any offer for that matter. I never thought to check, and I have been doing this for a while now. I still have a suspended account and hoping they reinstate it. I've already had several phone conversations. They said they have to review the account. just be careful guys. This is not only a pain for an affiliate but also not very safe for the consumers.
Damn that sucks Did you take a look at the merchants landing page to see if it had some type of "secure form" or something. I'm running a couple payday loan offers and checked for this and they seem secure. ]
Yea, the offer seemed pretty insecure. I got everything sorted with YSM USA. My ads are back online, but UK account was deleted and refund innitiated. They said I "may" have to create a new UK account. USA YSM shot an email to UK YSM. What a mess. I'll be sure this doesn't happen again. I wouldn't wish this hassle on anyone.
Hi Trypp, Were you doing the offer with LP or direct linking? I don't see reason for campaign to be pulled off if your using LP with privacy policy.
