Hello everybody, I have again re-designed my website www.smartpixels.net cause the previous design was looking a little dull to me. This time I used fresh colors and added some more pages like Services, Freebies and renamed the Contact Me text to Hire Me Now I want feedbacks on the points mentioned below: 1) Is the new site looking too greeny? 2) The thumbnail size of the portfolio page is very big? 3) Does it look cheap to have a chat box on the Freebies page? cause smartpixels is a professional website and can chatting on my site makes the image of my site bad? 4) I am using the word "I" on my website to express me and my work. What do you think if I use "We" then people will show more confidence on me and they will think that they are actually dealing with a company... Is it good to use WE and promote me as a company not individual? Is it not lie? 5) Anything else you notice on the site. Waiting for some feedbacks Thank you
1) Is the new site looking too greeny? No. I did not like the background image that you had used for the webpage other than that it is quite good. May be you can try changing the color of the logo 'SmartPixels' to blue or black. 2) The thumbnail size of the portfolio page is very big? No, why are considering it that way. 4) I am using the word "I" on my website to express me and my work. What do you think if I use "We" then people will show more confidence on me and they will think that they are actually dealing with a company... Is it good to use WE and promote me as a company not individual? Is it not lie? I think it is better to use 'We'. Any effort/work done by us is not purely done by us.At some stage we take some reference / help / guidance from others. Hence it is better to include them. May be when you speak with Clients you can mention that you are playing the dominant role of performing all the tasks single-handedly. 5) Anything else you notice on the site. My Feedbacks: a) As I had mentioned earlier I did not like the background image used in the webpage. b) You can change the green color for some text that you had given, the text is not clear. for eg: In Hire me page the email address that you had mentioned in the following line:: " .. You can contact me by sending email directly at ..." c) In Buy Templates page why don't you have a section below the thumbnails that displays the possible rates. (now we need to click to template to know the rates)
I have changed the background image, Actually made the old image a little darker. Thanks. me too noticed that the green color is not appearing clearly. I am going to change it real fast. Sure, I will put the price(s) below the templates. Thanks for pointing it out.
I think it looks good. I also thing it's fine to use "I". It's honest and builds a personal connection with your visitor.
Thanks for your review I have added more content on the homepage and make it look more professional. I want you people's comment on these points, btw I am sorry if I am asking too many questions but actually I want to make my site look less mistakes and error less 1) if any customer (looking for a designer) comes to my site, does my site give a professional look? 2) Have I showcased my work on the site nicely or not? 3) The English on my site is ok or it is too childish? I am not very good in english but have tried my best. I wrote everything truth and honestly there and did not write wordings like 'We take your projects seriously and go miles ahead to fulfil your requirements...blah blah' I wrote everything clearly.
