hey, can anyone just share his thoughts with me!!! There is a healthy site of about 5 pages with uncopied materail and having 3 adsense ads on it;targeting a low keyword say about (30 searches made to google every day); can achieve top of the rankings among google search and all this on a free subdomain such as 50webs.com:eek::confused:

how far do you guys think it is effective!!!!:p

please share your thoughs with a reply!;)

Although it's possible I wouldn't personally do it myself. I would just purchase my own domain. You can even find free host to host your domain on. So only like 9$ total and you have full control over your site.

    That's just me though

Be very careful where you use your Adsense publishers ID. Its very precious.

I dont think if you try to register with a free subdomain, google will accept you, they will generally reject your application

i think they work but must be a serious provider and without ads on your pages , but i agree with another members , buy a .info domain for 3$ / year and solved the problem , with a true domain you are sure never let you down ...

a true domain name is good for long run , for a good search engine position = traffic = money
a free domain name can be down anytime , no guaranty

I often use free subdomains to test the potential of a new site (and to get comments from friends and colleagues) before buying a suitable domain name. Often with Adsense: never had the slightest problem with it.

nowadays, I see low ranked, or no ranked pages up in many search results.
new content boost put new sites on top of search results but thats not for long time, after some time, such pages disappear from search results, especially free subdomains

please let me not agree with you , here making a Google search in position 5 you can see a subdomain http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=google+pagerank&btnG=Google+Search

i talk about : pr.blogflux.com and there are many more on the web, possible forwarded ( redirected ) subdomains to be low ranked but "natural" subdomains in my opinion are good

this is the difference : http://medo.awardspace.com is how i said .... "natural" subdomain even co.uk is a subdomain converted into a domain using DNS , but co.nr isn't , is forwarded only using url redirection here is the difference between

depending on provider : http://medo.awardspace.com is a normal subdomain , created in Cpanel, Plesk or any control panel , *is good

co.nr is a subdomain forwarded, redirected from one place to point to another using a php script *isn't so good or not good

yourdomain.50webs.com is a better one but ugly

In general search engines don't rank good free subdomains like co.nr , 50webs

http://medo.awardspace.com is a subdomain but not a free one this is why his search engine position is better

ok, but problem is that, u need to have backlinks right?

for subdomains, u r actually building links for someone else site, what if they change their policy?

what if they stop free subdomain service?

there was a good free domain site, I forgot the name, they stopped the free subdomain service after few years.

anyway, I think its better to have ones own domain,
