I went to see "I Am Legend". And its a bit scary. Not to scary, just a little bit in some scenes with zombies coming out of no where. And some guy bought his two kids which looked 5 yeards old into it.
you should watch hostel, its disgusting! way too much blood etc! i agree scary movies should be scary, jumpy out movies not blood and guts (well a bit) but they go way over the top.
Finally someone agrees with me. Your the first in this thread to. Can't agree more. Horror movies are to gory now.
I like such horror movies ! I'm not offended or scared by such things. Instead I like it. (Playing the GTA series made me like this)
No Mate. as someone pointed out before, Gore/slasher movies are totally different kind of horror movies. There are many your kind of movies too. 'The Grudge 2' for example..
Yeh The Grudge 2 was a good movie i thought. I liked "Vacancy" aswell, that was out recently its a top film. Well scary, but good scary. Not gory, just chasing scary people.
Well im going to agree and disagree with you and myself at the same time. lol I think a Horror movie should have blood. Anything less is just a thriller. BUT at the same time horror movies are getting a little ridiculous: like Hostel 2 had a back cutting scene that made me laugh at how far horror movies THINK they need to go. I kinda miss the good ol' days when movies made my imagination do the scaring... but a little gore is good
If you like more gory and stuff you should watch "august underground mordum". And comeback in this thread and let us know what will be more nastier than that movie..
August underground series or Guinea pig series are short, direct to video movies. These are not full length feature films...
Yeah i hate that guinea pig video.. I cant eat the way i eat before for about 1 week after watching that.. so sick
movies like saw and hostel dont seem like a 'Horror' film to me... I would love it the saw movies had more story then just 'kill people in unimaginable ways'.
I wish they would just kill someone at the front of the theater, that would really step up the gruesomeness.
myself i like horror movies it is just very nice to get scared in the dark watching all that horror alone =)
I don't find this sort of gore scary in the least. To me for a movie to truly be horrific it must be a psychological horror story. Something that gets into the mind. I can't comment specifically about Saw or any of these other types of movies as I have no interest in seeing them from the previews. That sort of stuff seems aimed at the LCD. Teenagers. It's supposed to be interesting due to shocking you rather than with any real merit. Not my bag, that's for sure.
I just saw "Hostel". On the reccomendation of some people here. Needless to say it was probably the worst 2 hours of my life.
