Dont think there is 14 core. In fact. There is no such thing as 14 core. Makes me feel like he is unaware of what his server is.

What the heck is a 14 core server?
Maybe you get the ram/cores mixed up?
16 core would make more sense...

Well although I must admit it seems like he doesn't know what he is talking about, but.. the possibility still exists that he does use this.

14 core servers DO exist. There are SUN enterprise machines, wich can be upgraded to like 64 or 128 cores even. Standard they get delivered with just one core. It would be no problem to put 14 cores in a machine like that. Seperate SPARC processors could be added.

Get your facts straight before you debunk a guy like him. Maybe he does have the knowledge. Maybe he is real.

The only bad thing I see about this ad is that it only has a 100mbit connection. If you dedicated this many cores to proxies, then you are aiming do host 100s or 1000s of them. In this case you need multiple gbit connections.

    Just my few cents.

Ok well I'm going to show some humility here and admit my mistake. I did mean to type 16core, because we are running 4 Quad Cores on Each server.

    -----------------------------------------------------

The data center is located in Atlanta, GA which is owned by NetVolta. (The partner or parent to sycoblue) You may ask how we can do this proxy in the USA, well the way these servers are being is run such that no logs are kept and all clients info is kept confidental, we do not need to locate offshore. Clients are then able to gain a much faster connection than that of what is normally associated with proxy hosting.

    -----------------------------------------------------

The provider is my company. We could setup an affiliate with other sites if need be but that would be something that would need to talk about in more details.

    -----------------------------------------------------

    The bandwidth provider is Level3.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Sorry about the delayed response to all your questions too, I was out of the office. I will say that if anyone else has any questions they can be taken to www.sycoblue.com live help, but beware that is site is under construction and is the reason why I did not mention it in my original post.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Please keep in mind that any packages bought here will be on these servers which will not be oversold.

About 3 years ago, one of our partners bought a such SUN Solaris supercomputer (Sun fire 6800).

    24 64 bit processor, and 24G RAM.

But, frankly, that server is quite slow for normal use. One that processor is much slower than a Xeon 2.4G. ;)

What exactly would you like me to screen shot for you? Like I don't get how you expect me to get you a screen shot of the server config. Where exactly would you like this screen shot to come from?

Thats true. But those enterprise machines are perfect for a VPS setup. You could host many VPS servers on it.

    With much regards,

That really isn't too bad of an idea to do, I wonder if any companies have tried it yet?

Well on our server we have dedicated 100mbps ports. This is true though for all servers, not just our proxy server.
