My apologies too in not sorting this out sooner, was dealing with that troll that appeared on this thread (name above: BoredDaily (all other posts on this thread thankfully deleted)) who gave me a negative trader rating without any good cause. No way was I going to let him have the name after agreeing first to give it to you. Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay whilst I was sending a very detailed letter to admin here at DP concerning his behaviour.

Ouch, sucks that the guy gave you negative itrader but the admins and mods will not get involved. Do not worry though, you can just tell people who ask to look at this thread, and this will believe you.

 

This is one of the things that irks me though.

You can get some great people on these forums, that put a lot of time and effort in to make others peoples lives better, by swapping advice, general tips and generally being helpful to others and then all it takes is one troll to pop along and give negative feedback without any cause for doing so, which straightaway sullies the previously enjoyed excellent reputation of said poster/s. This then has the potential to reflect badly on future sales as others immediately associate negative feedback, if given properly or not with untrustworthiness.

In a way, this is close to libel. Although in cases such as these, the person giving such negative feedback without good cause gets off scotfree since there is no way of actually tracking said poster down and making them pay for their comments. The point is reputations are at stake here.

Simply allowing self admitted trolls to go around the forum, the boards giving out negative feedback willy nilly without any action that can be taken responsibly by the admin or mods in my considered opinion is a negation of duty. The admin here should take matters like this more seriously. Good posters not only add to the value of the forum but to other posters too. In effect a lack of action on the part of admin in cases such as this, is simply adding to the trouble, by enabling such idiotic behaviour to continue, since these fools know they have the power in their hands to do this, whilst no modding action will take place to stop them.

Such a situation is totally ludicrous and makes not one iota of sense. Negative feedback should be given obviously to posters that deserve it, but for them to then be allowed to make up bullshit and lies by giving retaliatory feedback of a negative nature in return is a failure on the part of the admin of any trading board to truly look after their good posters interests.

This I believe is a serious matter which needs addressing very soon, to safeguard not only my own good reputation, but everyone else's too that posts and trades with full honest integrity.

I ask again therefore that the admin steps in and hereforeto deletes said negative feedback from my account as given by the self confessed troll: BoredDaily forthwith. If you do not, as stated, you are simply enabling this kind of thing, and further you are encouraging it to continue.

Inaction is irresponsibility in the extreme.

Just sent in a complaint to the admin here in the Suggestions and Feedback sections, sorry lads, tried my best here to stick up for posters rights, the replies from admin were most strange indeed, with them constantly locking the thread up from the start, meaning that I had to make a new thread to make the point felt, this was then copied and pasted or whatever, into the 1st complaint thread, which was locked, then admin would reply, without allowing another answer reply to be given to said points.

Depending on your perspective for this went to and forth quite a few times, it could either be viewed as rather entertaining, or for those of you that may have had a similar situation occur before, isn't it just lovely to rest so assured that the admin and mods here, favour instead, trolling activity over the healthy and reputation of the vast majority of users, including myself upon this forum?

Admin, you really need to sort this out, as pointed out in my comments below, the lack of responsible action in this regard, or simply washing your hands of this kind of thing, as though it were too much trouble for you to be involved with, or worse, that you consider good posters with legitimate complaints, as worthy of no action on your part flies in the face of all sensible and cognitive ordinary wisdom. Said activity simply enables trolls rather than dealing with them head on. I'm asking you to not negate on your duty to the good posters of this forum, for further, if this can happen to me, it could happen to anyone else too.

Let's just suppose for a second, that half a dozen self confessed trolls arrived on this forum and soon after left you the admin or mods, negative feedback on your iTrader rating - I'd like to know, if this was happening to you personally, at what point would you consider putting your foot down, to make sure that said activity stopped forthwith.

Would you perhaps allow it once, twice, thrice or even more, even though this was utterly destroying your reputation and trading trustworthiness? Of course not. So how come there would be one rule for you guys, but in this instance another rule for the fodder, users of this forum that daily contribute and impart insightful and helpful comments and advice to others?

Would you have the capacity to remove said false negative feedback from your own accounts if given by a self confessed troll? If so, how can you quantify doing so for oneselves whilst taking a stance of inactivity and responsibility towards your fellow posters, the large majority of which are very trustworthy and a pleasure to conduct business with? Your good posters afterall are what makes DP a phenomenal success, surely there needs to be a degree of responsibility therefore towards those posters that contribute towards this forum very well, or are you about to honestly tell me otherwise?

My situation involved this thread, which thankfully said comments by the self confessed troll, 'BoredDaily', the name says it all, have now been removed to maintain some integrity to the then conversation, deal taking place, this I add was as a result of a complaint I made when I flagged said poster by flagging one of his remarks:

Then you Sir, are irresponsible in your lack of interest in dealing with this issue and by said comment above, you prove that you are more in favour of enabling disruptive behaviour and trolling than having the balls to deal with said problem.

Essentially, your point is, we'll look after the trolls interests first but most certainly not the good posters of this forum.

Although rather puzzled by your answer given above and rapidity of it's provision, for this shows that you have not given hardly any consideration to my above provided points, I think this speaks volumes that you will not even go so far as to say, that such a point raised has validity and will be set aside for future consideration.

I'm very disappointed in you and your complete and utter lack of interest in looking after your posters here when they raise a totally valid complaint, which needs addressing.

FYI I am in my 40's, I have been in business for over 25 years and employed a good number of people during this time and solely been responsible for setting up one company which to date in total has turned over several million dollars.

Returning to the points raised, rather than treating all your posters as juvenile, wet behind the ears 16 year old kids, is it possible to request of you guys a serious and proper answer to my previously raised points or are you simply going to bury your collective heads in the sand, pretending that such a problem is not a serious concern?

If you address this said problem, which I have just raised with you guys, perhaps you might consider it a favour that this matter is being brought to your attention, rather than simply seeing your good posters, as part of the problem and treating said concerns with such wanton levels of rudeness?

May I suggest you look at my posting history to assure yourselves that my intention here is to actually help you out, rather than cause you further trouble.

I would suggest, as you are a man of obvious wisdom, being in your August years, that you take some time to better acquaint yourself with the policies and practices of this forum, and the manner in which its members should conduct themselves when they are aggrieved.

If you were to educate yourself with the business practices and methods in which private transactions are handled, such as perusing the "sticky threads" and the FAQs of this forum, you will possibly achieve some enlightenment as to how the way things are.

The moderators are here to assist the entire commonwealth of this privately owned forum, and are doing this for personal satisfaction. They are not customer service attendants who sit behind kiosks waiting to allay every last sorrow and grief of each member who has been affronted.

For a person of such high diction, you would be better served using your words for the betterment of this community instead of chastising these hard-working individuals because of your own ignorance.

And to top it all, admin just left this: "negative rep for posting this bloated nonsense" - once again proving without a shadow of doubt, that the admin here favour trolls over the reputations of honest posters. Maybe they forget that it is is the posters that actually make up the community here? Or did I miss something?

You have blown this situation way up on your own. I came in here with a legitimate interest in your domain for sale. I even apologized for the highball ball offer after it looked like you had it for sale. You took that way out of context and left me bad trader rating for a single post in here. We had not even made a transaction.

I am not a "self-proclaimed" troll as you put it. You need to re-evaluate your own actions here and decide what is really worth getting worked up over.
