Wireless Router Help ( mile range? )

    You can buy high gain antennas for most routers. Or if you want to waste some time (and have fun doing it), you can build a wifi wok.

    Why? Do you travel somewhere a mile away that you need to connect to the internet from? Or do you just own a massive plot of land?

    Yeah that would be cool to go online on my massive plot of land.

    Also my office is close to my home and I'm trying to cut some costs. When I'm working I don't need to get online much.

    I don't know why someone would want to have an area that large ("Hey look at my wireless network and hack it!"). Haven't had much success with signal extenders, they drop connection all the time. I just threw another wireless router on the network at work (with the exact same config as the first) to extend the signal where I needed it. Works like a charm....

    Ah there is a guy who has a farm that was asking me about it. I was like ahhh I'm not to sure.. haha but the wifi wok now thats a network.
