Content Is Still King!

Here are my thoughts on why content is still king!

    Content is still king!

In the ever changing world of search engine optimization did you know that one thing is still the same? That’s right content is still king and it always will be!
Content has often been discussed on many forums and blogs, but never like you’re about to hear! Your content not only needs to represent what you’re website is about but it also needs to be relative to the website it’s on.
For instance you would not want to have a website that’s about dogs talking about horses on the same page, it just doesn’t make sense to search engines nor to humans. But if you have a website about animals in general having various sub pages about each individual animal may benefit your search engine rankings! Therefore it’s safe to assume that Google is okay with you having multiple types of content on one website as long as it’s sectioned off with a sub page to ensure that the page with the content is definitely relative to the links you’re going to point at it!

    Content and key word density!

Not only does your content need to be of high quality but it also needs to have the right keyword density for the search engines to know that your website is not spamming! For instance create a sense that says something like:

My friend Ted went to bed the other night and then Ted got up and went for a walk Ted not only felt sleepy but he also felt kind of cranky. Ted went to bed the next day and then Ted never woke up.

As you can see in the above sentence the keyword is the name Ted, in the two sentences above the word Ted is mentioned way to Maine town’s the search engines are snouts smart enough to realize this and they ensure that any website doing this is penalized! In no I don’t mean taken out a search index but you do get devalued a little bit. Therefore as your seo consultant I believe it’s important to warn you that your website needs to mention the keyword no more than three to five times in a whole paragraph. It’s simply not needed and the search engines know what, not only that but reading the same thing over and organic will get annoying to your users. I’ll use the example once again if your users are happy the search engines are going to be happy.

    Content and keyword tools!

Below is a small list of tools that you can use to ensure that your keyword density is not too high. One other thing you may want watch out for is grabbing articles off sites like Wikipedia and actual Article Resources Websites. Articles on these websites are used a lot throughout the Internet in your niche, although good for your website too many of them is not good and begins to look spammy to the search engines.

Keyword Density Checker Tool: use this tool to check the density of the keywords on your page!

in the two sentences above the word Ted is mentioned way to Maine town’s the search engines are snouts smart enough to realize this and they ensure that any website doing this is penalized!

I think he meant it like that. Which would be pretty weird. Anyway, I think we all understood the point.

Apart from concentrating only on Keyword in an blog/website, one has to promote/market his/her blog/website extensively in order to get that organic traffic......and hence $$$$$.
Marketing is also an equally important aspect :)

Of course it is, and our blog talks about all the different marketing subjects you can imagine! However content is one of the main ways to get back links and up traffic which in turn means money.

I look at it this way, if people like the content, the search engines will like the content ;)

    Ummm,,,,,,Kinda

I disagree with you on some points,

Using "edward" a few times in that same page would also help, as "edward" is another word for ted, and if this was an English site the engines would know you are a specialist.

In fact google has a new system that now looks for latent words....

Just wanted to add that :)

    Best!

Keyword density is not that important.

It is more about using keywords in the right places (titles, sub headings and top of an article) and also littering the post with synonyms and other relevant keywords to capture longtail search phrases.

I never look at keyword density and get 6 figure google traffic, dotting a keyword in 2-3 times within an article is plenty,

Indeed keyword density is rather useless in my opinion.

You're simply trying to get the searchengines to favor your site over someone else's. But that's not what searchengines want, they only want the best content to serve their visitors better.

In the end, great content will always win over SEO content. Typical SEOptimized content doesn't read very well or doesn't contain the high quality information people are looking for - since most people can't focus on quality for both sides.

I've never optimized my articles for certain keywords, and don't have a lot of prominent places in searchengines. However the natural traffic from other sites linking to way has well covered this lack.
