$50 Easy Logo Challenge - This Is BIG [Fast!]

Hello Everyone,

After a very though fight on my last competition, I've finally chosen the
design that fit my company.

All I can say is, the digital point community is full of creative people. So
whenever I need a logo design, I just open a contest here and wait for
the great designs to come in.

For now, I'm giving blipoo.com's logo design to your hands. Like what
I requested before on my previous contest, I want my logos meaningful.

What does Blipoo actually mean?

I've searched Google (define:blip) and saw this:

Blip - a sudden minor shock or meaningless interruption.

So I was thinking, maybe the logo should have a sense of shock too.
In the 2 "oo" of Blipoo, you can replace them with 2 shocked eyes.

Blipoo will be a social news site based on pligg. I've already came up
with a custom theme in PSD format. Here's a screenshot of the header:

The logo will be placed on the top left side of the header so if you will
submit a logo, please try and put the logo there too.

Don't forget to blend the colors of the logo to the template.

Aight The font looks good. I didn't like how the eyebrows did though, it
somewhat separates the 'oo' from the whole word

DaveyBoy Pretty good work on the eyebrows, but the font needs a little
bit rehash. Try using no caps and no reflections please.

melting-fire Wow, a different one. Didn't expect that one coming. Although
it's unique, it's very hard to read.

Try to lessen the web 2.0 effects guys. No reflections as I try to make this
site as simple as possible.

Also, no caps with a unique font would be a good idea too.

 

I don't know. But i think the oo's would be just as good if they were lips saying oooh

Hi,
this is very simple. I just followed your idea, which is good.
No reflections, just very decent gradient in "blip"-part. The eyes are lighter (just in white), in order to seem more bliped.
In my opinion, it is not bad to separate "Blip" and "oo" little bit, because if there is a meaning for word blib, this separation gives to logo some kind of story.
