I know that, but if you pirate vista, you won't be able to get updates from Microsoft thus creating the problems.
LOL, thats not exactly true. Most torrents you see on the internet nowadays are hacked versions of the copies shipped with new computers. In other words, no serials needed, and free updates for life, no questions asked.
Very true. I actually know a person who is using a pirated version of Vista Ultimate just fine - even updated with SP1 RC. No problems at all being genuine according to him.
I've tried and tried to get Vista to crash, just mainly because I wanted it to suck and I liked XP more, but regardless what I did, it ran smoothly. No problems to date, and I abuse the resources
Maybe vista is slow because you have a suck pc. I am running vista home edition and I had to upgrade everything ram and cpu because toshiba didn't have windows xp drivers for my vista laptop.
my friend's new laptop with 2gig ram has vista, Im on my dual core XP machine, we are doing stuff side by side, and in real world work and fun, my XP laptop is faster and better... his vista machine blue screen crashed twice today, my xp is solid I would avoid vista like the plague
I have vista and didn't even know the blue screen even existed....i have a hard time believing you...
BTW, I can bluescreen Vista consistently with the remote that came with my laptop. Here is the link to my post. http://yourekillingmyserver.com/Latest/How-Bill-Feels-About-Vista.html
Why don't you guys get off your 1.8ghz celeron processors? My vista machine starts up and shuts down not a little, but tremendously faster than my xp machine and it smooth as butter with applications. Half the people in here bashing vista haven't even used it and I'm willing to bet money on that.
Home edition is Microsoft's water down Vista. Sorry but this Vista does not use the new GUI from Microsoft.
I do Not have time to learn Any OS now, so that i can go for VISTA or anything else , i need to work in XP in short time. thanks.
the blue screen exists, don't kid yourself here is a great video, and notice these expert power computer users commenting "we should drop vista" as they are staring at the Blue Screen of Death http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqalHbrttV0
I wasn't being lilteral, I am sure the screen is there however I have yet to see it and I do insanely large tasks on my machine. I guess my computer is just awesome or somthing...
take a closer look at your graph, your cpu usage is 100% all the time, the reason why it is 66% at the end is that you are doing nothing , other then watching task manager, yes, all processes are running, put you are not using any of them. secondly, the reason why people say that vista is slow, its bz it is compared to XP. look at the memory usage, its too much and its using your virtual memory instead of physical memory which makes things slow. open all these things in XP, and see the cpu usage and memory usage on the same PC
