I only have about 30 pages so far but the content on each page is very lengthy. I would like to hear from others how many pages they have and if they think more is better?
I just finished putting up a new site with 50 pages! It took me a total 5-minutes to build the site. 2 hours to go in and put my Google AdSense code in the darn things. But, now that I've got "the hang of it", I'm going to continue building the sites, just not as long. I know now that I'd have been better off to split the content between my two similar sites, rather than putting everything into just one site. Next time I'll not shoot for the moon. Pete
The raw number of pages on a site isn't too important. It's how their organized. You don't want to have long pages that the visitor needs to scroll on and on in order to find something of interest. So, if you have a lot of content, to avoid that you'll need a lot of pages. Unavoidable. Just make sure to have a good navigation system (like perhaps 2-tier menus). Also consider adding a search text box to your site (to search the site, not to search Google). Dan
overall, i think more is better.. Even though i lost count after around 500, i think my site is up to around 6,000 pages... user generated content rules!
It depends how many information you put on the site, my own site only has 18 pages, but I made a site for my client with more than 300 pages.
I just started a funny news blog. I think the content grows by an average of 3 pages a day. But I just started so its still around 30 pages.
Have you thought of using a template with PHP includes for the adsense ads? Might save you some time in the future because you jut put the ad code in one include file and it shows on all pages. Just a side thought.
I have been working on my website http://www.ReadEZArchive.com since september and just broke 19000+ pages today! It's taking google a little bit to catch up though.. =/
