Read the entire article. Your offtopic comments, totally disregarding the article topic, are a good example of how it is hard to get a discussion of ideas and philosophies going here.

I did read the article and my comment above was referring to the sentence in the first paragraph

Here is a brief history Israel and Palestine are formed as two countries by the UN in 1948. The Arab world rejects that resolution and decides to wage war on Israel. They lose, years later they try again, they lose again. In doing so Israel acquires land after they lose wars that they start. Why should they give up something that is rightfully theirs.

Guerilla, I think what soniqhost is saying is "Why should Israel have to return land that was gained as a result of wars started by those Arab nations?". Correct me if I'm wrong, soniq.

I agree. guerilla seems to have gone off the deep in, yet again, in his support of islam and contention with Israel.

The truth is, Israel is being occupied by some muslims (still) as well as most of the region.

The proposition should be reversed. Muslims should surrender the lands they illegally and brutally captured during wars of aggression, and should immediately withdraw from Israel's lands.

This would show tolerance on the part of islam, which it often proclaims to be about.

    Here comes Gtech the Islamophobe!
Gaza needs to stop sending rockets? Gaza cant send rockets, militants do, and to punish innocent civilians for the acts of a few extremists is morally wrong and against the Geneva convention. But you are a heartless, racist person, I do not expect you to be compassionate.

That's a rather scathing personal attack, guru. The view is inaccurate as well.

This is a great peace gesture but it may be quite difficult to implement, firstly jewish fundamentalists will oppose such a move and secondly could 22 Arab countries really have the political will and resolve to end the hostility that has existed for decades is another big question mark.

Its not a personal attack it is what you are, you go around these forums spreading hate towards minories, gays, Muslims all those who are critical of of our government. It is the truth, you can go back and re-read your own posts if you like or you can waste my time and I can compile a long list of YOUR posts spreading hate, lies and half truths.

Nonsense. This is exactly what any sane person wants. Peace and friendly relations.

It shows your ignorance when you associate Arab with Muslim. Not all Arabs are Muslims. There are Christians, Jews, Shia and Sunni. The Arab world may be predominantly Muslim, but it is not exclusively Muslim.

How do you geographically define Israel? Are you saying that Arabs have no place in the Middle East, and if so, where do they belong?

Again, you need to lay out these geographic areas you are talking about. I've done some research on this, and do not ever recall there being a Jewish led government or civilization prior to the 20th century.

I have no doubt that Jews and Muslims co-existed in these territories, but where was who, and who controlled what?

I think that is exactly what you see with this article. I've posted before that the White House was given an ultimatum by the Saudis to push the peace process, several years ago.

Incorrect. This is what you and others who support islamic aggression want...Israel to surrender. Surely you don't believe you are fooling anyone?

I never said all Arabs are muslims. This is a dishonest red herring to draw victimhood to cover your position.

I don't define it. I don't need to, it is already defined. Are you suggesting Jews have no place in the middle east? Are you overlooking history and all the islamic conquests via the sword in order to spread the religion throughout the region? I suspect you are ;)

I need to not do anything of the sort. Your research is wrong. I like your comments to those of a holocaust denier. What you meant to say is that after Israel was occupied by muslims, you don't recall a muslim led government.

    No one has suggested otherwise.

Incorrect. I've simply turned the article around, using your same logic and the logic of the article to show a different light.

I have a habit of doing this, to solicit outrage from those who have double standards. I'm surprised the usual suspects have taken the bait, yet again.

Your condemnation and outrage is always held singularly...for Israel and Israel alone, while lauding countries like Iran who openly support it's total inhalation.

I'm always thankful for the opportunity to expose this.
